Quick Glance
Key Features
50% More Cards Per Roll
300 images against the 200 of the 800300-350EM, from an identical five-panel YMCKO ribbon. Fewer cartridge changes, less downtime mid-run, and a better cost per card once you are printing regularly rather than occasionally.
Full Colour Plus Overlay
Yellow, magenta and cyan for the photograph, a black resin panel for sharp text and scannable barcodes, and a clear overlay that seals the finished surface. One cartridge produces a complete, protected photo ID.
EM Is the EMEA Part Number
Zebra region-codes its ZC ribbons in the suffix. EM covers Europe, the Middle East and Africa — correct for the UAE. A ribbon coded for another region can be refused by the printer.
Detailed Specifications
- Zebra ZC300 — single-sided and dual-sided models
- This is a ZC300-only colour ribbon. Zebra runs three separate ribbon families across the ZC line — the ZC100 takes 800100-150 and the ZC150 / ZC350 take the 800350 series. Only the mono black 800300-303 and the half-panel 800300-370 cross over between the ZC100 and ZC300
- Zebra's ZC300 specification sheet states plainly: "The ZC300 printer is designed to work only with Zebra genuine ribbons." Supplied in a recyclable cartridge with an embedded smartchip that the printer authenticates

Need-to-Know
Zebra offers three everyday ribbons for the ZC300. They all load the same way — the choice is colour versus mono, and how many cards you get before the next change.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Same YMCKO panel structure, same print quality, same ZC300 compatibility — 300 images instead of 200. Per card it works out cheaper, and you change the cartridge less often, which matters when a change mid-batch means re-checking alignment. The only reason to buy the 200-image version is a low or uncertain volume, where a smaller roll ties up less money on the shelf.
It is the region code. Zebra sells the same ZC ribbon under different suffixes for different territories — EM for EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), with separate parts for North America and Latin America. The printer reads the cartridge smartchip and can refuse a ribbon coded for another region. Zebra's own support forum carries a thread titled "The ZC300 does not recognize the 800300-550EM ribbon", so it is worth getting right. For a printer bought and used in the UAE, EM is correct.
No. Zebra runs three separate colour ribbon lines: the ZC100 takes 800100-150, the ZC300 takes this 800300 series, and the ZC150 and ZC350 take the 800350 series. Only the 800300-303 mono black and the 800300-370 half-panel colour cross over between the ZC100 and ZC300. Check the model badge on the front of your machine before ordering, or send us a photo.
If you print full colour on both faces, yes — 300 images becomes 150 finished cards, because each face consumes its own panel set. Many dual-sided jobs only need colour on the front and black text on the back, in which case Zebra's YMCKOK ribbon (800300-360) is the more efficient choice since it carries a second black panel for the reverse. Tell us how your card is laid out and we will work out which ribbon costs less per card.
The ZC300 is built not to. Zebra's specification sheet states the printer is designed to work only with Zebra genuine ribbons, and the cartridge carries a smartchip the printer authenticates before it will run. Zebra's printhead warranty policy also reserves the right to inspect the supplies used with a failed printhead. A card printhead is the most expensive part of the machine, which is a poor thing to gamble on a cheaper cartridge.
