Genuine Zebra 800033-340 True Colours ix Series ribbon: full-colour YMCKO, 280 images, for the ZXP Series 3. Five panels — yellow, magenta, cyan, black and a clear overlay — supplied as a drop-in cartridge with a cleaning roller. This is the current part number and it replaces the older 800033-840, so if that is what is printed on your last box, this is the one you now order.

Five Panels, One Pass
Yellow, magenta and cyan build the full-colour image, a black resin panel lays sharp text and scannable barcodes, and a clear overlay seals the finished surface. One cartridge produces a complete, protected photo ID.
Replaces the Older 800033-840
Zebra superseded the 800033-840 with this part. The ribbon is the same YMCKO configuration for the same printer, so an old box in the cupboard is not a reason to hunt for a discontinued number.
Cartridge Format, Roller Included
Supplied in a sealed ix Series cartridge that drops straight into the ZXP Series 3, with a replacement cleaning roller in the box so the print path is refreshed at every ribbon change.

Effectively yes. Zebra replaced the 800033-840 with the 800033-340 — same YMCKO panel structure, same ZXP Series 3 fitment. If the number on your empty cartridge is the 840, order this one. Resellers still list the old number, which is why quotes for the "same" ribbon sometimes come back with two different part codes.
No. The ZXP Series 3 and the newer ZC series are completely different platforms with different ribbon cartridges. A ZC100 takes 800100-150, a ZC300 takes the 800300 range and a ZC350 takes the 800350 range. Check the badge on the front of the machine — ZXP Series 3 is printed on it clearly.
280 is Zebra's published image count and it means 280 single-sided cards. A YMCKO ribbon uses one full set of panels per card face whatever the artwork, so a sparse badge consumes exactly as much ribbon as a full-bleed photo card. Printing colour on both faces halves the count. Rejected cards consume a panel set too, so allow a margin on large runs.
When your card is dual-sided with colour on the front and black-only content on the back — terms and conditions, a barcode, a signature strip. The 800033-348 carries a second black panel so it does both faces in one pass. Using this YMCKO ribbon for the same job burns a whole colour panel set on a back that only needed black, effectively halving your yield.
It is an older platform than the current ZC line, but it remains very widely installed across the Gulf and its consumables are still readily available, which is why we stock them. If you are replacing the machine rather than the ribbon, the ZC300 is its natural successor and we can quote both so you can compare running costs.
