- The 1200 x 1200 dpi optical resolution is the flatbed's figure. The ADF scans at 600 x 600 dpi, so put originals that need fine detail on the glass.
- This is a USB 3.0 scanner. Epson lists no network connection, no push scan and no password panel lock, so it scans to the computer it is plugged into.
- Epson's software differs by platform: Document Capture Pro runs on Windows, Document Capture on Mac, and Document Capture Pro Server is a free download.
