UISP Wave | 60 GHz Radio
Ubiquiti Wave Pro 60 GHz Long-Range Radio (Wave-Pro)
The Ubiquiti Wave Pro is a high-capacity 60 GHz radio that supports long-distance PtP (bridge) and PtMP links. Ubiquiti rates it at 5.4 Gbps total throughput and up to 15 km in PtP, with a 5 GHz weatherproof backup radio (up to 800 Mbps) that keeps the link up when 60 GHz cannot. It has two 2.5 GbE RJ45 ports and one 10G SFP+ port, a 46 dBi antenna, integrated GPS and Bluetooth, and a precision alignment mount.
Quick Glance
Key Features
60 GHz capacity with a 5 GHz backup radio
A 60 GHz radio with a 46 dBi antenna and 1.3° beamwidth delivers up to 5.4 Gbps total throughput. A built-in 5 GHz weatherproof backup radio (802.11ax, 22 dBi, up to 800 Mbps) carries traffic when the 60 GHz link cannot. Ubiquiti rates range at up to 15 km PtP, and up to 8 km PtMP with a Wave AP.
2.5 GbE and 10G SFP+ ports, PtP, PtMP or station
Two 2.5 GbE RJ45 ports and one 10G SFP+ port. Runs as PtP, PtMP or station, in bridge mode or router mode (router in PtMP station mode only). Quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 at 1.4 GHz, 512 MB memory, integrated GPS and Bluetooth, and UISP management with Wave AI, cable test and traffic shaping with burst support.
Built for exposed masts
Aluminium alloy and UV stabilized polycarbonate enclosure rated IPX6, a stainless steel precision alignment mount for 25 to 76.2 mm poles, an ergonomic transportation handle, and wind loading of 369 N at 200 km/h. Operates from -40 to 60° C, powered by passive PoE from the included 48V 2.5 GbE PoE adapter.
Detailed Specifications
All specifications are Ubiquiti's own, from its official tech specs and store pages. Operating frequencies depend on the regulatory region, and some features need the firmware versions Ubiquiti names. Weight is 2.8 kg without the mount and 4 kg with it.
Need-to-Know
- The 5 GHz backup radio is built in: Ubiquiti describes it as a weatherproof backup radio with a maximum throughput of 800 Mbps, so it carries less traffic than the 60 GHz link.
- Range depends on the mode: up to 15 km PtP; in PtMP up to 8 km with a Wave AP, and up to 6 km with a Wave AP Micro or Wave AP Gen2. PtMP needs one of those access points at the hub, which is a separate product.
- Router mode is available in PtMP station mode only; otherwise the Wave Pro runs in bridge mode. Some features need newer firmware: 540 MHz channels, the 70560 MHz channel, cable test and site survey need FW 3.3.0 or later, and traffic shaping with burst support needs FW 3.4.0 or later.
- Ubiquiti gives two weights: 2.8 kg without the mount and 4 kg with it. The 60 GHz and 5 GHz operating frequencies depend on the regulatory region.
- Power comes from the included 48V DC, 0.65A 2.5 GbE PoE adapter over passive PoE, with a maximum consumption of 26W. UISP version 2.3.0 or later is required.

Frequently Asked Questions
It is a high-capacity 60 GHz radio for long-distance links between sites. It works as a PtP bridge, as a PtMP station linked to a Wave AP, or in station mode. Ubiquiti rates total throughput at 5.4 Gbps and PtP range at up to 15 km.
The Wave Pro has a built-in 5 GHz weatherproof backup radio, an 802.11ax radio with a 22 dBi antenna and a maximum throughput of 800 Mbps. Ubiquiti positions it as a backup for when the 60 GHz link cannot carry traffic; expect lower throughput while it is in use.
Ubiquiti lists up to 8 km (5 miles) with a Wave AP, and up to 6 km (3.7 miles) with a Wave AP Micro or Wave AP Gen2. In point-to-point the maximum range is up to 15 km (9.3 miles).
Passive PoE from the included 48V DC, 0.65A 2.5 GbE PoE adapter, with a maximum power consumption of 26W. It has two 2.5 GbE RJ45 ports and one 10G SFP+ port.
On a pole of 25 to 76.2 mm (1 to 3") outer diameter using the stainless steel precision alignment mount. The dish measures ⌀424.4 x 166.2 mm, weighs 4 kg with the mount, and Ubiquiti rates wind loading at 369 N at 200 km/h. An ergonomic transportation handle helps on the mast.
