Ubiquiti UniFi Switch Pro 8 PoE (USW-Pro-8-PoE)
The Switch Pro 8 PoE is an 8-port, Layer 3 switch from Ubiquiti with PoE+ and PoE++ output. Six Gigabit ports supply PoE+ and two supply PoE++ (up to 64W per port), from 120W of total PoE availability, and two 10G SFP+ ports provide uplinks. It is a compact desktop or wall-mount switch with an internal 150W power supply and a 1.3" touchscreen, managed in UniFi Network 7.5.176 and later.
Quick Glance
Key Features
PoE+ and PoE++ on all eight ports
Every Gigabit RJ45 port supplies power: six are PoE+ at up to 32W per port and two are PoE++ at up to 64W per port, from 120W of total PoE availability. That powers access points, cameras, phones and a couple of higher-draw PoE++ devices from one compact switch with an internal 150W power supply.
Layer 3 switching with 10G SFP+ uplinks
Two 10G SFP+ ports (10G/1G) connect the switch to the core or a gateway. It offers 56 Gbps switching capacity, 28 Gbps non-blocking throughput and a 42 Mpps forwarding rate, with Layer 3 features including a DHCP server and relay, inter-VLAN routing and static routing for local networks, with up to 256 IPv4 static routes.
Compact desktop or wall mount
At 200 x 248 x 44 mm and 2.1 kg, the Switch Pro 8 PoE sits on a desk or mounts on a wall, so it suits small offices, branches and meeting rooms without a rack. The enclosure is polycarbonate and metal, and a 1.3" touchscreen shows its status at a glance.
Detailed Specifications
Specifications are from Ubiquiti's official tech specs and store listing for the Switch Pro 8 PoE (USW-Pro-8-PoE). The 120W total PoE availability is shared across all eight ports. Ubiquiti may update specifications without notice.
Need-to-Know
- All eight RJ45 ports supply PoE: six PoE+ (up to 32W each) and two PoE++ (up to 64W each). The combined draw of all powered devices must stay within the 120W total PoE availability.
- The RJ45 ports are 1 GbE (1G/100M/10M); the two 10G SFP+ ports are the faster links. Ubiquiti lists no multi-gigabit RJ45 port on this model.
- The power supply is internal (150W, 100–240V AC). Ubiquiti lists AC input only for this model and no second power input. Ubiquiti does not state the power cord plug type.
- Layer 3 features listed are DHCP server and relay, inter-VLAN routing and static routing for local networks. Ubiquiti's specification lists no dynamic routing protocol, and no QoS (DSCP) or Pro AV profile rows, for this model.
- Ubiquiti rates the ambient operating temperature at -5 to 45° C. In UAE cabinets or ceiling spaces that run hotter than that, choose a cooler, ventilated spot.
