Ubiquiti UniFi Switch Enterprise Campus Aggregation (ECS-Aggregation)
A 1.8 Tbps high-density 100G/25G Layer 3 Etherlighting aggregation switch with MC-LAG support, built for high availability system design. It has 48 25G SFP28 ports and six 100G QSFP28 ports, 3.6 Tbps switching capacity, two hot-swappable power supplies and five hot-swappable fans. Pair two units for Multi-Chassis Link Aggregation. A 1U full-depth rack switch managed in UniFi Network 8.5.6 and later.
Quick Glance
Key Features
High-density 25G and 100G aggregation
48 SFP28 ports at 25G or 10G and six QSFP28 ports at 100G or 40G, with 3.6 Tbps switching capacity, 1.8 Tbps non-blocking throughput, a 2.4 Bpps forwarding rate, a 24 MB packet buffer and a 128,000-entry MAC address table. Ubiquiti states breakout cables are not supported on the QSFP28 ports.
MC-LAG and hot-swappable hardware for high availability
Multi-Chassis Link Aggregation (MC-LAG) requires pairing with another Enterprise Campus Aggregation and supports up to 26 target device memberships. Two hot-swappable 550W power modules and five hot-swappable fans keep the switch running through a component swap.
Layer 3 core features with Etherlighting
DHCP server and relay, inter-VLAN routing and static routing for local networks with 256 IPv4 static routes, plus 512 IPv4 and 512 MAC access lists, LACP, STP and RSTP. Etherlighting on the SFP28 and QSFP28 ports, a 1.3" touchscreen and an SGCC steel 1U chassis, managed in UniFi Network 8.5.6 and later.
Detailed Specifications
Specifications are from Ubiquiti's official technical specifications and store listing for the Switch Enterprise Campus Aggregation (ECS-Aggregation). VRRP and OSPF are described by Ubiquiti as scheduled for a future UniFi Network release, not current features.
Need-to-Know
- The 48 SFP28 ports run at 25G or 10G only, and the six QSFP28 ports at 100G or 40G. Ubiquiti lists no slower port speed and states breakout cables are not supported.
- MC-LAG requires pairing with another Enterprise Campus Aggregation, with up to 26 target device memberships. A single unit does not give MC-LAG on its own.
- Ubiquiti states that Layer 3 automatic failover (VRRP) and OSPF support is scheduled for an upcoming UniFi Network Application release. Today's Layer 3 features are DHCP server and relay, inter-VLAN routing and static routing.
- Ubiquiti's port layout for this aggregation switch is SFP28 and QSFP28 only, with no copper Ethernet ports, so it supplies no power to devices. SFP28 and QSFP28 modules or cables are not listed as included.
- The chassis is 1U full-depth: Ubiquiti requires a 4-post rack (post depths 650 to 1,000 mm), or a center-mount bracket or cantilever shelf on 2-post racks. Ubiquiti does not state the power cord plug type.

Frequently Asked Questions
Ubiquiti lists 48 25G SFP28 ports (25G/10G) and six 100G QSFP28 ports (100G/40G). Breakout cables are not supported on the QSFP28 ports, and no copper Ethernet ports appear in the port layout.
Yes. Ubiquiti states that MC-LAG requires pairing with another Enterprise Campus Aggregation, with up to 26 target device memberships. Ubiquiti also recommends pairing the Enterprise Campus 24 PoE and 48 PoE access switches with this aggregation switch.
Not yet, according to Ubiquiti. Its store listing says Layer 3 automatic failover (VRRP) and OSPF support is scheduled for an upcoming UniFi Network Application release. Current Layer 3 features are DHCP server and relay, inter-VLAN routing and static routing, with 256 IPv4 static routes.
Two hot-swappable 550W AC/DC power modules with universal 100–240V AC input, and five hot-swappable fans. Maximum power consumption is 340W and heat dissipation is 1160 BTU/hr.
Ubiquiti lists the SFP28 ports as 25G/10G and the QSFP28 ports as 100G/40G, with no lower speed. For slower copper devices, connect them through an access switch such as the Enterprise Campus 24 PoE or 48 PoE.
