Ubiquiti UniFi Protect All-In-One Sensor (UP-Sense)
The Ubiquiti Protect All-In-One Sensor is a battery-powered smart sensor capable of detecting motion, lighting and environmental changes. One small unit senses motion up to 5 m (16 ft), door and window state, garage door open/close, temperature, humidity, ambient light and alarm sounds. It runs on a CR123A lithium battery for up to a year and connects over long-range Bluetooth LE to a SuperLink or a Bluetooth-supported UniFi access point.
Quick Glance
Key Features
Seven kinds of sensing in one unit
Motion detection up to 5 m (16 ft), a magnetic entry sensor for door or window open/close, an accelerometer for garage door open/close, temperature, humidity and ambient light sensing, and alarm sound sensing based on UL217 and UL2034 alarm patterns. Water sensing needs the water sensor adapter, which Ubiquiti supplies only in the 3-pack.
Long-range Bluetooth LE to SuperLink or a UniFi AP
Connects over Bluetooth 5.0 / BLE with one 2.4GHz antenna to a SuperLink or, indoors, to an up-to-date Bluetooth-supported UniFi access point. Ubiquiti states long-range BLE coverage is comparable to WiFi coverage. Events are managed in UniFi Protect, on the web application and the iOS and Android apps.
Battery powered, small and easy to place
Powered by a CR123A lithium battery with up to a year of battery life, so no cable run is needed. The polycarbonate body measures ⌀24 x 83.5 mm and weighs 50.2 g, with flat wall and corner mounts that fix with adhesive. Operating range 0 to 45° C, 10 to 90% non-condensing humidity.
Detailed Specifications
Specifications are Ubiquiti's own, from its official tech specs and store pages for the Protect All-In-One Sensor (UP-Sense, single unit). The water sensor adapter is supplied only in Ubiquiti's 3-pack. Battery life is Ubiquiti's rating.
Need-to-Know
- This listing is the single unit (UP-Sense). Ubiquiti supplies the water sensor adapter only in its 3-pack, so water sensing is not available on the single unit without that adapter.
- The sensor needs a SuperLink or, indoors, an up-to-date Bluetooth-supported UniFi access point within BLE range, plus UniFi Protect to manage it. Ubiquiti states long-range BLE coverage is comparable to WiFi coverage.
- Alarm sound sensing listens for alarm patterns based on UL217 and UL2034. It reacts to an existing alarm's sound and is not itself a smoke or CO alarm.
- Power is a CR123A lithium battery, rated by Ubiquiti for up to a year of battery life. Ubiquiti does not state in text whether a battery is supplied.
- Rated for 0 to 45° C and 10 to 90% non-condensing humidity, with no weatherproofing rating published, so it is meant for indoor use.

Frequently Asked Questions
Motion up to 5 m (16 ft), door and window open/close with its magnetic entry sensor, garage door open/close with its accelerometer, temperature, humidity, ambient light and alarm sounds based on UL217 and UL2034 alarm patterns. Ubiquiti rates it for up to a year of battery life on a CR123A lithium battery. Actual life depends on how often it reports events. Ubiquiti does not state in text whether a battery is supplied, so ask us when ordering.
No. It has an alarm sound sensor that recognises alarm patterns based on UL217 and UL2034, so it can notify you when an existing smoke or CO alarm sounds. It does not sense smoke or carbon monoxide itself.
Ubiquiti lists a flat wall mount and a corner mount, both polycarbonate with adhesive, plus a magnet for the door or window entry sensor. The sensor itself measures ⌀24 x 83.5 mm and weighs 50.2 g.
