Key Features
10G WAN and 5 Gbps IDS/IPS routing
One 10G SFP+ and one 10 GbE RJ45 port are the default WAN ports, with up to 6 WAN ports for multi-WAN load balancing. Ubiquiti rates IDS/IPS throughput at 5 Gbps with 55,000+ signatures with CyberSecure, plus a stateful and Layer 7 firewall, DPI, zone-based and content filtering, and ad blocking.
Integrated 2.5 GbE switch with PoE+
A built-in 4-port 2.5 GbE switch with (1) PoE+ port and a 30W PoE budget, plus a 10G SFP+ LAN port. License-free SD-WAN, Site Magic, IPsec and OpenVPN site-to-site links, WireGuard, OpenVPN and L2TP VPN servers, OSPF and BGP dynamic routing and UniFi LTE Backup failover are supported.
Full UniFi suite with selectable NVR storage
Runs UniFi Network, Protect, Access, Talk and Connect. Ubiquiti lists up to (15) HD, (8) 2K or (5) 4K managed cameras and 50 Access hubs. NVR storage is a selectable NVMe SSD up to 2 TB; this unit has no SSD, and a third-party SSD needs Ubiquiti's tray accessory.
Detailed Specifications
Specifications are from Ubiquiti's official technical specifications for the UniFi Cloud Gateway Fiber (UCG-Fiber). Device, client and camera counts are Ubiquiti's guidance figures; the NVMe SSD for NVR storage is not included.
Need-to-Know
- This unit (UCG-Fiber) comes without an NVMe SSD. Ubiquiti's NVR storage is a selectable NVMe SSD up to 2 TB, and installing a third-party SSD requires Ubiquiti's tray accessory.
- Ubiquiti lists managed camera counts of (15) HD, (8) 2K or (5) 4K alongside its selectable NVR storage. Plan the SSD before adding UniFi Protect cameras.
- The integrated 4-port 2.5 GbE switch has one PoE+ port, with a 30W PoE budget. Maximum power consumption of 29.4W excludes PoE output.
- Ubiquiti's specification lists no built-in wireless radio for this gateway. Wireless coverage comes from separate UniFi access points managed in UniFi Network.
- Power is a 54V DC/1.1A adapter, which Ubiquiti states is included, rated for 100–240V AC. Ubiquiti does not state the mains plug type.
