UniFi Access Door Controller
Ubiquiti UniFi Access Door Hub UA-Hub-Door Single-Door Controller
The Access Door Hub is Ubiquiti's single-door controller for UniFi Access, providing complete entry and exit control via connected Access Readers. It powers from one PoE++ cable, supplies four PoE+ outputs for readers and paired UniFi Protect cameras or Chime, and drives the lock from 12V or dry relay terminals. A dedicated emergency input, door position and exit-request inputs, DIN-rail mounting and support for up to 6,000 users complete the hub.
Quick Glance
Key Features
Complete control of one door
Dedicated control and monitoring for one door, with 12V and dry switchable lock terminals to support a wide range of locking hardware. Two AUX terminals drive an external siren and an automatic door opener, and inputs cover request to exit, request to enter, remote release and the door position sensor. Up to 6,000 users are supported.
One PoE++ cable in, four PoE+ ports out
A single Gigabit PoE++ RJ45 input (50V DC, 1A) carries power and data with no separate power adapter. Four PoE+ outputs supply 30W per port, 45W aggregated, to two UniFi Access readers and two UniFi Protect cameras or a UniFi Protect Chime. Maximum consumption is 30W without PoE output and 50W with it.
Emergency input and DIN-rail mounting
A dedicated emergency input enables immediate system response to fire alarms or critical override signals. The polycarbonate hub mounts on a DIN rail (mount included) for indoor installation from 0 to 40° C, and it is UL 294 and CAN/ULC-60839-11-1 listed and NDAA compliant.
Detailed Specifications
Specifications are taken from Ubiquiti's official technical specification and store listing for the Access Door Hub, UA-Hub-Door. Lock cable lengths are Ubiquiti's recommended maximums per lock type and wire gauge.
Need-to-Know
- The Door Hub controls one door. Credentials are read by the UniFi Access readers connected to it; Ubiquiti lists no reader, keypad or camera on the hub itself.
- The hub is rated for indoor use only, from 0 to 40° C. Mount it in a cabinet or ceiling space, not at the door outdoors.
- It needs a PoE++ source on its input port. The four PoE+ outputs share a 45W aggregate budget, 30W per port maximum.
- Lock cable runs depend on the lock's current and the wire gauge: Ubiquiti's maximum for a 1A lock on 24 AWG is 9 m, rising to 36 m on 18 AWG UACC-Cable-DoorLockRelay.

Frequently Asked Questions
Ubiquiti states it connects to two UniFi Access readers and two UniFi Protect cameras or a UniFi Protect Chime, powered from its four PoE+ output ports. The lock connects to the 12V or dry lock terminals, and two AUX terminals can drive an external siren and an automatic door opener.
From one PoE++ input (50V DC, 1A) on an RJ45 port that also carries Gigabit data, so no separate power adapter is needed. It draws 30W maximum without PoE output and 50W with PoE output.
It has a 12V powered lock output (12V DC, 1A) and a dry lock relay (30V DC, 1A), switchable to support a wide range of locking hardware. Ubiquiti publishes maximum cable lengths for its UA-Lock-Electric and UA-Lock-Magnetic locks and for other locks up to 1A.
Ubiquiti describes a dedicated emergency input that enables immediate system response to fire alarms or critical override signals. The hub also has two door exit request inputs and a door position input.
No. Ubiquiti rates the Door Hub for indoor use only, with an operating temperature of 0 to 40° C and 5 to 95% noncondensing humidity. It mounts on a DIN rail, and the mount is included.
