UISP Fiber GPON CPE
Ubiquiti UISP Fiber Nano GPON CPE UF-Nano
The Fiber Nano (UF-Nano) is Ubiquiti's GPON customer-premises equipment (CPE) with an LED display for convenient device monitoring. It has one SC/APC ITU-G.984 GPON WAN port and one GbE RJ45 LAN port, is powered by 24V passive PoE, and runs as an ONU/ONT layer 2/3 Ethernet switch. Ubiquiti designed it to be used with its Fiber OLT and states that third-party OLTs may not be compatible or may be unable to reliably connect to the ONU.
Quick Glance
Key Features
GPON at 2.488 Gbps down, 1.244 Gbps up
One SC/APC ITU-G.984 GPON WAN port with a downstream line rate of 2.488 Gbps and 1.244 Gbps upstream, transmitting at 1310 nm and receiving at 1490 nm, with a physical reach of 20 km. GEM Port Encryption secures the PON link, and Ubiquiti lists dying gasp support.
Gigabit LAN and 24V passive PoE in
A single GbE RJ45 LAN port also takes the unit's power: 24V passive PoE on pins 4, 5 (+) and 7, 8 (-) at 0.3A, a supported range of 20–28V DC and 7W maximum consumption. Ubiquiti lists a UniFi PoE Switch as the power supply.
LED display, remote management, UISP Mobile App
An LED display and status LEDs show PON, Ethernet and power state. Ubiquiti lists a dashboard, monitoring, alarms and logs, remote reset, reboot and firmware upgrade, VLAN support, NAT, bridging, routing and firewall features, managed in-band over Ethernet or PON and through the UISP Mobile App.
Detailed Specifications
Specifications are taken from Ubiquiti's official technical specification and store listing for the Fiber Nano, UF-Nano. Ubiquiti designed it for use with its Fiber OLT; third-party OLTs may not be compatible.
Need-to-Know
- Ubiquiti designed the Fiber Nano to be used with its Fiber OLT and states that third-party OLTs may not be compatible or may be unable to reliably connect to the ONU. Check the OLT your fibre network uses before ordering.
- Power is 24V passive PoE (20–28V DC, 7W maximum) into the RJ45 LAN port. Confirm that your PoE source supplies 24V passive PoE. Ubiquiti does not list a power adapter as included.
- The GPON port is SC/APC. Use an SC/APC fibre patch lead to connect it.
- Ubiquiti's official store lists this part as UF-Nano in the US store and UF-Nano-EU in the EU and UK stores.

Frequently Asked Questions
Ubiquiti designed it to be used with its Fiber OLT and states that third-party OLTs may not be compatible or may be unable to reliably connect to the ONU. Plan it as part of a Ubiquiti Fiber OLT network.
By 24V passive PoE on the RJ45 LAN port (pins 4, 5 positive and 7, 8 negative, 0.3A), with a supported range of 20–28V DC and 7W maximum consumption. Ubiquiti lists a UniFi PoE Switch as the power supply and does not list a power adapter as included.
Ubiquiti gives a total non-blocking line rate of 2.488 Gbps downstream and 1.244 Gbps upstream on the GPON port, and the LAN side is one GbE RJ45 port. The optical interface transmits at 1310 nm and receives at 1490 nm, with a physical reach of 20 km.
Ubiquiti lists in-band management over Ethernet and PON, a dashboard with monitoring, alarms and logs, remote reset, reboot and firmware upgrade, VLAN support and the UISP Mobile App. The LED display and status LEDs show PON, Ethernet and power state on the unit.
Ubiquiti rates the ambient operating temperature at -40 to 55° C with 5 to 95% noncondensing humidity. The enclosure is UV-stabilized polycarbonate. Ubiquiti does not publish an IP rating for it.
