UniFi WiFi 7 Access Point, 10 GbE
Ubiquiti UniFi U7 Pro XGS WiFi 7 Access Point
The Ubiquiti U7 Pro XGS is a ceiling-mounted 8-stream WiFi 7 access point with 6 GHz support, a dedicated spectral scanning radio and a 10/5/2.5/1 GbE uplink, for high-density client environments. It covers up to 160 m² (1,750 ft²), handles 500+ connected devices and is powered by PoE++ over its 10 GbE RJ45 port. Available in White (U7-Pro-XGS) and Black (U7-Pro-XGS-B).
Quick Glance
Key Features
8-stream WiFi 7 across 2.4/5/6 GHz
Eight spatial streams: 2 x 2 MU-MIMO on 6 GHz, 4 x 4 MU-MIMO on 5 GHz and 2 x 2 MU-MIMO on 2.4 GHz, with channels up to 320 MHz. Ubiquiti rates the maximum data rate at 5.8 Gbps on 6 GHz (BW320), 8.6 Gbps on 5 GHz (BW240) and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz (BW40). 6 GHz operation depends on the country.
Dedicated spectral scanning radio
A dedicated spectral analyzer runs real-time RF scanning for enhanced channel selection and stability, alongside Zero-Wait DFS and advanced radio management. Rated for 500+ connected devices with up to 8 BSSIDs per radio, fast roaming (802.11r/k/v), PPSK, RadSec and RADIUS-assigned VLANs.
10 GbE PoE++ uplink for high-capacity backhaul
One 10 GbE RJ45 port supports 10/5/2.5/1 GbE and carries PoE++ power, with a maximum power consumption of 29W and a supported voltage range of 42.5-57V DC. A ⌀215 x 32.5 mm unit for ceiling or wall mounting with the Lite Mount included, in White or Black.
Detailed Specifications
All specifications are Ubiquiti's own, from its official tech specs and store pages, and apply to both colours. 6 GHz operation depends on the country and local regulations. The access point needs PoE++; the Black model needs UniFi Network 9.1.120 and later.
Need-to-Know
The U7 Pro XGS comes in two housing colours. Ubiquiti publishes one specification for both; the only stated difference is the minimum UniFi Network version.
- 6 GHz operation is supported only in the countries Ubiquiti lists, so 6 GHz availability depends on the country and its local regulations. The 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands are not affected by this note.
- The U7 Pro XGS is powered by PoE++, not PoE+, with a maximum power consumption of 29W. Ubiquiti lists no power adapter for it, so plan a PoE++ switch port or PoE++ adapter for each access point.
- The Black model (U7-Pro-XGS-B) needs UniFi Network version 9.1.120 or later; the White model (U7-Pro-XGS) needs version 9.0.114 or later. Check your controller version before installing.
- The 10 GbE uplink runs at 10/5/2.5/1 GbE. Full multi-gig speed needs a matching switch port and cabling.
| Part Number | Colour | UniFi Network Required | Weight |
|---|---|---|---|
| U7-Pro-XGS | White | Version 9.0.114 and later | 800 g (1.8 lb) |
| U7-Pro-XGS-B | Black | Version 9.1.120 and later | 800 g (1.8 lb) |
Both colours share Ubiquiti's single published specification table; only the housing colour and the minimum UniFi Network version differ.

Frequently Asked Questions
The U7 Pro XGS supports 6 GHz, but Ubiquiti limits 6 GHz operation to the countries on its own supported list, and availability depends on local regulations. Ubiquiti's spec also notes that worldwide operating frequencies depend on the regulatory region. Contact us before ordering if 6 GHz is essential to your design; the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands work regardless.
Yes. Ubiquiti lists the power method as PoE++, with a maximum power consumption of 29W and a supported voltage range of 42.5-57V DC over the single 10 GbE RJ45 port. Ubiquiti lists no power adapter in the product, so plan a PoE++ switch port or a separately bought PoE++ adapter.
Per Ubiquiti's specifications, the XGS has 8 spatial streams with 4 x 4 MU-MIMO on 5 GHz (up to 8.6 Gbps), covers 160 m² (1,750 ft²), handles 500+ devices and adds a dedicated spectral scanning radio. It is powered by PoE++ (29W max.) and measures ⌀215 x 32.5 mm. Both have a 10 GbE uplink and come in White or Black.
U7-Pro-XGS is the White model and U7-Pro-XGS-B is the Black model. Ubiquiti publishes one specification for both. The only stated difference is the minimum UniFi Network version: 9.0.114 and later for White, 9.1.120 and later for Black.
