UniFi WiFi 7 Access Point
Ubiquiti UniFi U7 Pro Max WiFi 7 Access Point
The Ubiquiti U7 Pro Max is a ceiling-mounted WiFi 7 access point with 8 spatial streams, 6 GHz support and a dedicated spectral scanning engine, built for interference-free WiFi in demanding, large-scale environments. It covers up to 160 m² (1,750 ft²), handles 500+ connected devices, connects over a 2.5 GbE uplink and is powered by PoE+.
Quick Glance
Key Features
8-stream WiFi 7 on three bands, including 6 GHz
Eight spatial streams: 2 x 2 MU-MIMO on 6 GHz, 4 x 4 MU-MIMO on 5 GHz and 2 x 2 MU-MIMO on 2.4 GHz. Ubiquiti rates the maximum data rate at 5.8 Gbps on 6 GHz (BW320), 8.6 Gbps on 5 GHz (BW240) and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz (BW40). 6 GHz operation depends on the country.
Real-time spectral analysis for cleaner channels
A dedicated spectral scanning engine runs real-time spectral analysis for enhanced channel selection, alongside Zero-Wait DFS and advanced radio management. Ubiquiti notes that spectral analysis requires UniFi Network 8.2.93 and later.
2.5 GbE PoE+ uplink for 500+ devices
One 1/2.5 GbE RJ45 port carries data and PoE+ power, with a maximum power consumption of 25W and a supported voltage range of 44-57V DC. Rated for 500+ connected devices across 160 m² (1,750 ft²), with up to 8 BSSIDs per radio, fast roaming (802.11r/k/v), PPSK and RADIUS-assigned VLANs.
Detailed Specifications
All specifications are Ubiquiti's own, from its official tech specs and store pages. 6 GHz operation depends on the country and local regulations. Real-time spectral analysis requires UniFi Network 8.2.93 and later.
Need-to-Know
- 6 GHz operation is supported only in the countries Ubiquiti lists, so 6 GHz availability depends on the country and its local regulations. The 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands are not affected by this note.
- Ubiquiti states that Multi-Link Operation (MLO) capability is coming soon and will be provided via a software update. It is not a current feature of the U7 Pro Max.
- The U7 Pro Max is powered by PoE+ through its single RJ45 port. Ubiquiti lists no power adapter for it, so plan a PoE+ switch port or PoE+ injector for each access point.
- Managing the U7 Pro Max, including real-time spectral analysis, needs the UniFi Network application, version 8.2.93 or later.

Frequently Asked Questions
The U7 Pro Max supports 6 GHz, but Ubiquiti limits 6 GHz operation to the countries on its own supported list, and availability depends on local regulations. Ubiquiti's spec also notes that worldwide operating frequencies depend on the regulatory region. Contact us before ordering if 6 GHz is essential to your design; the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands work regardless.
Per Ubiquiti's specifications, the U7 Pro Max has 8 spatial streams with 4 x 4 MU-MIMO on 5 GHz (up to 8.6 Gbps), covers 160 m² (1,750 ft²), handles 500+ devices and adds a dedicated spectral scanning engine for real-time spectral analysis. It draws up to 25W over PoE+ and shares the same ⌀206 x 46 mm size and 2.5 GbE uplink.
By PoE+ over its single 1/2.5 GbE RJ45 port. Ubiquiti gives a maximum power consumption of 25W and a supported voltage range of 44-57V DC. Ubiquiti lists no power adapter for it, so each access point needs a PoE+ switch port or a PoE+ injector.
Not yet. Ubiquiti states that MLO capability is coming soon and will be provided via a software update. Everything else on this product, including WiFi 7 data rates up to 8.6 Gbps on 5 GHz and 5.8 Gbps on 6 GHz, is available now.
Yes. Ubiquiti lists ceiling and wall mounting, with the Pro Mount included. The mount is made of stainless steel (SUS304) and galvanized steel (SGCC), and the access point measures ⌀206 x 46 mm and weighs 680 g.
