It covers up to 465 m² (5,000 ft²) of open space with the directional antenna, can be switched in software to its included external omni antennas, supports 250+ connected devices, is IPX6 rated and runs on PoE+ over a 2.5 GbE uplink.
Quick Glance
Key Features
Directional super antenna or external omnis
An integrated directional antenna (12.5 dBi, 45° x 45° on 5 GHz; 8 dBi, 90° x 90° on 2.4 GHz) gives 465 m² (5,000 ft²) of open space coverage. It is software-switchable to the two included external omni antennas (4 dBi on 5 GHz, 3 dBi on 2.4 GHz, 360° x 30°) on RP-SMA connectors.
All-weather, IPX6, wall or pole
The IPX6-rated enclosure withstands rain and outdoor conditions for all-weather operation, and Ubiquiti rates it for -30 to 60° C ambient temperature. Wall and pole mounts are included, for poles of 25-60 mm (1-2.36") diameter, with a wind loading of 74.6 N at 200 km/h.
WiFi 7, MLO and 2.5 GbE PoE+
2 x 2 MU-MIMO on 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz, up to 4.3 Gbps on 5 GHz (BW240) and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, with Multi-Link Operation support for improved latency and resiliency. One 1/2.5 GbE RJ45 port carries data and PoE+ power (19W max.), and it handles 250+ connected devices.
Detailed Specifications
All specifications are Ubiquiti's own, from its official tech specs and store pages. Coverage of 465 m² (5,000 ft²) is for open space with the integrated directional antenna. Worldwide operating frequencies depend on the regulatory region.
Need-to-Know
- The 465 m² (5,000 ft²) coverage figure is for open space with the integrated directional super antenna. Coverage with the external omni antennas, or around buildings and trees, will differ.
- The U7 Outdoor is powered by PoE+ through its single RJ45 port. Ubiquiti lists no power adapter or injector as included, so plan a PoE+ switch port or PoE+ injector for each access point.
- The U7 Outdoor is a dual-band 2.4/5 GHz access point; Ubiquiti lists no 6 GHz operation for it. Worldwide operating frequencies depend on the regulatory region.
- Managing the U7 Outdoor needs the UniFi Network application, version 8.2.93 or later.

Frequently Asked Questions
Both are available. The integrated directional super antenna (12.5 dBi with a 45° x 45° beam on 5 GHz) gives the 465 m² (5,000 ft²) open-space coverage figure. In software you can switch to the two included external omni antennas (4 dBi on 5 GHz, 360° x 30°) for all-round coverage.
Ubiquiti describes it as weatherproof for outdoor exposed installation, with an IPX6-rated enclosure, a UV-stabilized polycarbonate and aluminum alloy body, and an ambient operating temperature of -30 to 60° C (-22 to 140° F) with 5 to 95% noncondensing humidity.
By PoE+ over its single 1/2.5 GbE RJ45 port, with a maximum power consumption of 19W and a supported voltage range of 42.5-57V DC. Ubiquiti lists no power adapter as included, so each access point needs a PoE+ switch port or a PoE+ injector.
On a wall or a pole, with mounts included. Ubiquiti gives a pole mount diameter of 25-60 mm (1-2.36") and a wind loading of 74.6 N at 200 km/h. The access point measures 170 x 208 x 54.5 mm and weighs 1.2 kg.
Ubiquiti lists MLO as supported on the U7 Outdoor: Multi-Link Operation support for improved latency and resiliency. It is a dual-band 2.4/5 GHz WiFi 7 access point with 4 spatial streams.
