Ubiquiti UniFi U6 Mesh Pro Indoor/Outdoor WiFi 6 Access Point
The Ubiquiti U6 Mesh Pro is an indoor/outdoor WiFi 6 access point with 4 spatial streams, an integrated omnidirectional super antenna and a gigabit passthrough port. It covers up to 185 m² (2,000 ft²), handles 250+ connected devices, connects over a GbE uplink with one GbE passthrough port, and is powered by PoE with a PoE adapter included. It is rated IPX6 for outdoor exposed use and mounts on a wall or pole, with mounts included.
Quick Glance
Key Features
Integrated omnidirectional super antenna
8 dBi antenna gain on both 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz gives 185 m² (2,000 ft²) of coverage. 2 x 2 MU-MIMO on each band, with maximum data rates of 2.4 Gbps on 5 GHz (BW160) and 573.5 Mbps on 2.4 GHz (BW40), and 250+ connected devices.
GbE uplink plus a gigabit passthrough port
Two GbE RJ45 ports: the uplink, which also takes PoE power, and one GbE passthrough port for connecting another device at the installation point. Maximum power consumption is 9W across a supported voltage range of 42.5–57V DC, and Ubiquiti includes a PoE adapter.
Weatherproof for wall and pole mounting
Rated IPX6 and weatherproof for outdoor exposed use, with a UV-stabilized polycarbonate enclosure and an aluminum alloy and steel mount. Wall and pole mounts are included, for poles 1–2.5" (25–63.5 mm) in diameter, and it operates from -30 to 60° C (-22 to 140° F).
Detailed Specifications
All specifications are Ubiquiti's own, from its official tech specs and store pages. Ubiquiti does not state whether the GbE passthrough port outputs PoE. UniFi Network version 8.1.127 or later is required.
Need-to-Know
- The U6 Mesh Pro needs the UniFi Network application version 8.1.127 or later, a newer minimum than many other UniFi WiFi 6 access points. Check your controller version before installing.
- The U6 Mesh Pro is powered by PoE through its uplink port, and Ubiquiti includes a PoE adapter. The supported voltage range is 42.5–57V DC.
- The second GbE RJ45 port is a passthrough port. Ubiquiti does not state that it supplies PoE power to the connected device, so plan separate power for anything plugged into it.
- Ubiquiti lists the U6 Mesh Pro as WiFi 6 on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands only.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Ubiquiti describes it as an indoor/outdoor access point, weatherproof for outdoor exposed use, with an IPX6 rating and a UV-stabilized polycarbonate enclosure. Its ambient operating temperature range is -30 to 60° C (-22 to 140° F).
The U6 Mesh Pro has two GbE RJ45 ports: the GbE uplink and one GbE passthrough port, which lets you connect another wired device at the access point's location. Ubiquiti does not state that the passthrough port outputs PoE, so plan separate power for anything connected to it.
It is powered by PoE, with a maximum power consumption of 9W and a supported voltage range of 42.5–57V DC. Ubiquiti lists the PoE adapter as included, so it can run from a non-PoE switch port through the adapter.
Ubiquiti lists UniFi Network version 8.1.127 and later. Once adopted it supports wireless meshing, band steering, fast roaming (802.11r/k/v), guest hotspot portals, PPSK, RadSec and RADIUS-assigned VLANs, and it can be managed over Ethernet or WiFi.
Ubiquiti gives a pole mount diameter of 1–2.5" (25–63.5 mm). Wall and pole mounts are included, made of aluminum alloy and steel. The access point measures 343.2 x 181.2 x 60.2 mm and weighs 819 g.
