Ubiquiti 24V DC PoE Adapter
Ubiquiti 24V DC PoE Adapter POE-24-12W-G (Mid-Power, Gigabit)
The Ubiquiti POE-24-12W-G is the Mid-Power model of Ubiquiti's 24V DC PoE Adapter. It supplies 24V DC @ 0.5A over the network cable on pins 4, 5 (+) and 7, 8 (-), passes a Gigabit LAN connection through, and takes 100-240V AC mains input through an IEC-320 C6 connector. Surge and clamping protection, an earthed AC cable and a reset button with remote reset capability help protect the powered device.
Quick Glance
Key Features
24V DC @ 0.5A over the data cable
Ubiquiti rates this Mid-Power model at 24V DC @ 0.5A output, using 2-pair powering on pins 4, 5 (+) and 7, 8 (-). It runs from a 100-240V AC, 50/60Hz input through an IEC-320 C6 connector, with 75+% efficiency, 1% maximum output ripple and line and load regulation of 3% and 5% or better.
Surge, clamping and peak pulse protection
Difference and common mode surge protection is built in, with a maximum surge discharge of 1500A (8/20 μs) on power, a peak pulse current of 36A (10/1000 μs) on data, clamping at 11V data and 60V power, shunt capacitance under 5 pF and a response time under 1 ns. The AC cable has an earth ground.
Gigabit pass-through and remote reset
Data enters on an RJ45 shielded socket and leaves with power on the PoE side over a Gigabit LAN connection. The adapter has a reset button and remote reset capability. Ubiquiti lists no LAN activity indicator on this model. It measures 87 x 44 x 29 mm and weighs 99 g.
Detailed Specifications
Specifications are taken from Ubiquiti's official technical specification (the POE-24-12W-G Mid-Power column of the 24V DC PoE Adapter table) and store listing. Ubiquiti does not state the mains plug type; ask AtomOffice before ordering.
Need-to-Know
- This adapter outputs 24V DC on pins 4, 5 (+) and 7, 8 (-). Use it only with a device that accepts 24V DC PoE input on those pins, and check the device's power input before connecting.
- This is the Mid-Power model, 24V DC @ 0.5A. Ubiquiti also makes Low-Power and Hi-Power versions of the 24V DC PoE Adapter, which are not offered on this page.
- Mains plug: Ubiquiti states the AC input is an IEC-320 C6 connector and the AC cable has an earth ground, but does not state the plug type. Its official store lists this part as the EU-region SKU POE-24-12W-G EU. Ask AtomOffice which plug is supplied before you order.
- The adapter is rated for 0 to 40° C and 35 to 95% noncondensing humidity. Ubiquiti does not state an outdoor rating; install it indoors.

Frequently Asked Questions
Ubiquiti rates this Mid-Power model at 24V DC @ 0.5A, delivered by 2-pair powering on pins 4, 5 (+) and 7, 8 (-). It runs from 100-240V AC at 50/60Hz, draws 0.3A @ 120V AC or 0.2A @ 240V AC, and is 75+% efficient.
Only devices that accept 24V DC PoE input on pins 4, 5 (+) and 7, 8 (-). Ubiquiti's specification gives a 24V DC output with no 4-pair powering, so check your device's power input requirements before connecting it to this adapter.
Yes. Ubiquiti lists a Gigabit LAN port: data comes in on an RJ45 shielded socket and leaves with power on the PoE side, so one cable to the device carries both.
Ubiquiti states the AC input is an IEC-320 C6 connector and the AC cable has an earth ground, but does not state the plug type in its text. Its official store lists this part as the EU-region SKU POE-24-12W-G EU. Ask AtomOffice which plug is supplied before ordering.
