    Ubiquiti SFP+ Multi-Mode Transceiver

    Ubiquiti 10G Multi-Mode Optical Module (SFP+, 850 nm)

The Ubiquiti 10G Multi-Mode Optical Module is an SFP+ transceiver that supports 10G connections up to 400 m over multi-mode fiber, with a duplex LC UPC connector. It transmits and receives at 850 nm, supports 1 / 10 Gbps data rates, is compatible with SFP+ and SFP interfaces and draws 0.8 W at most. It is sold as a single module or a 2-pack; the fiber cable is not included.

    10G over multi-mode fiber, up to 400 m

Ubiquiti gives the module a 10 Gbps max data rate, with supported data rates of 1 / 10 Gbps. It reaches up to 400 m (1312 ft) on OM4 multi-mode fiber and 300 m (984 ft) on OM3, transmitting and receiving at 850 nm.

SFP+ form factor, duplex LC UPC

The module is an SFP+ transceiver with a duplex LC UPC connector, and Ubiquiti lists it as compatible with SFP+ and SFP interfaces. Fit one module at each end of the link and join them with a multi-mode fiber cable, which is not included.

    0.8 W, rated 0 to 70° C

Maximum power consumption is 0.8 W and the ambient operating temperature range is 0 to 70° C (32 to 158° F). Ubiquiti marks it a Class 1 laser product under IEC/EN 60825-1:2014: do not look into the fiber or module ends while powered.

Specifications are from Ubiquiti's technical specifications page and official store listing for the 10G Multi-Mode Optical Module. Ubiquiti does not publish a weight for this module.

The same module, sold singly or as a 2-pack. A 2-pack gives one module for each end of a fiber link.

    • Fiber cable is not included. Use multi-mode fiber with LC connectors: Ubiquiti rates the reach at up to 400 m on OM4 and 300 m on OM3.
    • A fiber link needs a module at each end. The 2-pack (UACC-OM-MM-10G-D-2) supplies two identical modules; the single unit (UACC-OM-MM-10G-D) supplies one.
    • This is a multi-mode, 850 nm module. Both ends of the link must use matching multi-mode modules and multi-mode fiber.
    • Ubiquiti marks the module a Class 1 laser product (IEC/EN 60825-1:2014). Do not look into the ends of the fiber optic cable or SFP module while powered.
    • Ubiquiti does not publish a weight for this module.

Both part numbers carry identical modules with the same specifications. Fiber cable is not included with either.

    • 10 Gbps fiber links up to 400 m on OM4, per Ubiquiti.
    • Fits SFP+ and SFP ports, with a standard duplex LC UPC connector.
    • Low 0.8 W maximum power consumption per module.
    • Single unit or 2-pack, so you can buy one end or a complete link.
    • Supplied with a VAT invoice for business purchasing.
10G fiber links between switches in different racks or rooms
Uplinks from an access switch to a core switch over existing OM3 or OM4 fiber
Building backbone runs of up to 400 m

Ubiquiti gives a supported cable distance of up to 400 m (1312 ft) on OM4 multi-mode fiber and 300 m (984 ft) on OM3. The module transmits and receives at 850 nm through a duplex LC UPC connector.

Ubiquiti lists a max data rate of 10 Gbps and supported data rates of 1 / 10 Gbps. It is an SFP+ module and Ubiquiti states it is compatible with SFP+ and SFP interfaces.

Every fiber link needs one module at each end. The 2-pack (UACC-OM-MM-10G-D-2) gives you both ends of one link; the single unit (UACC-OM-MM-10G-D) suits replacing a module or connecting to an end that already has a matching multi-mode module.

No. Ubiquiti states that the fiber cable is not included. You need a multi-mode fiber cable with LC connectors, OM4 for distances up to 400 m or OM3 for up to 300 m.
