Quick Glance
Key Features
AX3000 speed on both bands
Wi-Fi 6 gives up to 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz (802.11ax, HE160) and up to 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. Support for 160 MHz channels doubles the 5 GHz bandwidth, and OFDMA lets several Wi-Fi 6 devices share a band at the same time. TP-Link pairs a dual-core CPU with 512 MB RAM to keep connections fast under a heavy load.
Coverage that can grow with a mesh
Four fixed high-performance antennas, beamforming and a high-power FEM are listed by TP-Link for 3 bedroom houses. For a larger home, the AX55 supports OneMesh and EasyMesh, so you can add compatible extenders or EasyMesh devices without replacing the router. It can also run in Access Point mode.
Five Gigabit ports and USB 3.0
One Gigabit WAN port and four Gigabit LAN ports, with link aggregation (LAG) available on two LAN ports. The USB 3.0 port shares an external drive over your network (NTFS, exFAT, HFS+ and FAT32), as an FTP, media or Samba server, or as an Apple Time Machine backup disk.
