Noise-cancelling boom mic

A bi-directional noise-cancelling microphone on an adjustable boom, tuned 100 Hz to 16 kHz for speech and rated at −42 dBV/Pa. It cuts the office behind you out of what the caller hears.

Digital USB audio, no drivers

USB-A carries the sound as data and the headset does its own conversion, so it bypasses whatever sound card the machine has. It appears as a microphone and a speaker the moment it is plugged in — nothing to install.

Light enough for a full shift

100 g and 160 × 175 × 60 mm, with a 1.8 m cable that reaches a tower PC under a desk. A 20 Hz to 20 kHz response at 22 Ω input impedance.

  • This is the USB-A model, part number 981-000475. A laptop with only USB-C ports will need an adapter or a dock — ask us if you would rather have a native USB-C headset.
  • The noise cancelling is on the microphone, not the earcups. It improves what the caller hears; it does not block office noise for the person wearing it.
  • Being USB, it only works with a computer. If the same headset also needs to work with phones and tablets, the analogue 3.5 mm H111 is the one to order instead.
  • Digital USB audio bypasses the machine's sound card, so call quality does not depend on what is fitted to the PC.
  • The noise-cancelling boom mic is what stops callers asking people to repeat themselves in a busy office.
  • No battery and no charging dock — one cable, and the headset is always ready.
  • Plug-and-play on Windows, macOS and ChromeOS, with Works With Chromebook certification for school and shared-device fleets.

Both are USB-A headsets with noise-cancelling boom microphones and a 1-year warranty. The H390 is the larger, more padded model with in-line volume and mute controls on the cable and 30 mm drivers; the H340 is the lighter everyday model at 100 g, with a 1.8 m cable against the H390's 1.9 m. If users are on calls all day, the H390 is the more comfortable choice.

No. It is a plug-and-play USB audio device with its own digital sound processing, so it appears as a microphone and speaker to the operating system. Logitech lists Windows, macOS and ChromeOS with popular calling platforms, and certifies it Works With Chromebook.

USB-A. Part number 981-000475 is the black USB-A model. A laptop with only USB-C ports will need an adapter or a dock — ask us if you would rather have a native USB-C headset.

The microphone is bi-directional and noise-cancelling, rated by Logitech at 100 Hz to 16 kHz and −42 dBV/Pa ±3 dB. It is designed to cut background office noise from what the caller hears. Note that the noise cancelling is on the microphone, not on the earcups — it does not block sound for the wearer.
