The IRIScan Desk 7 Pro is a short-arm A3 document camera built around an 18 MP CMOS sensor, with software interpolation up to 85 MP and 4K video output. Anti-reflective lighting cuts glare from glossy pages, and Book Curve Flattening straightens the image when scanning bound books without unbinding them. It exports to searchable PDF, PDF-A, Word, Excel and e-book formats, connects over USB-C, and ships with both a hand button and a foot pedal for hands-free scanning.

Anti-reflective lighting for glossy pages
Asymmetric lighting minimises direct reflections off glossy paper, making scans of laminated or glossy-finish documents more comfortable to read and reducing hotspots that a flat overhead light would create.
Book Curve Flattening for bound books
IRIS's Book Curve Flattening technology straightens the captured image of a bound book automatically, so thick books can be scanned flat and single pages digitised without unbinding either kind of source.

All five IRIS document cameras in this range share the same scanning software; the difference is sensor resolution, maximum page size and, on the Desk 7 models, video and lighting features.
- There is no Wi-Fi or wireless connection on the Desk 7 Pro — it connects only by USB-C to a PC or Mac.
- This is a document camera, not a flatbed or ADF scanner, so it has no optical scan-head resolution rating in the printer sense; sharpness depends on the 18 MP sensor and 85 MP interpolated output, both already in Quick Glance.
