Open the toner access door on the front of your HP Laser or HP Laser MFP and lift out the installed cartridge — the HP cartridge number (106A) and the part number (W1106A) are printed on its label. Your printer's own model name is on the front of the machine, and MFP models with a display can also print a supplies or configuration report from the control-panel menu. If you are still unsure, send us your printer model and we will confirm the correct cartridge for you.

The HP 106A is the black toner for HP's compact Laser 100 and Laser MFP 130 ranges. HP lists it for the HP Laser 107, MFP 135, MFP 137 and MFP 139 families, and it is also listed as a replacement cartridge for earlier models in the same series such as the HP Laser 103a and HP Laser 105a. HP quotes an approximate average yield of about 1,000 pages based on the ISO/IEC 19752 test standard, which prints a fixed reference document so that different monochrome cartridges can be compared like for like. Real-world yield varies considerably with how much of each page is covered in toner, your print settings and how often the printer is used, so treat it as a comparison figure rather than a guarantee.
