HID FARGO 45030 EZ YMCKO Colour Ribbon Cartridge — 300 Images
The genuine HID FARGO 045030 EZ YMCKO ribbon cartridge prints a full-colour photo, sharp resin-black text and barcodes, and a protective clear overlay onto a plastic ID card in a single pass — 300 images per cartridge. It is HID’s current part number for this ribbon and replaces the older 045000.

Yellow, magenta and cyan dye-sublimation panels build the photo; a resin black panel prints crisp text, serial numbers and barcodes; a clear overlay panel goes on top to protect the card against fading and handling.
300 Images per Cartridge
HID rates this cartridge at 300 printed card sides — 50 more than the 045000 it replaces. HID notes that select DTC1250e colour ribbons use a smaller core, allowing greater ribbon capacity and more images per roll, so you change ribbons less often.
Genuine HID FARGO EZ Cartridge
Drops straight into the printer’s EZ ribbon bay with no threading. HID states that FARGO printers need highly specialised media and that HID warranties are void, where not prohibited by law, when non-HID consumables are used.

The DTC1250e takes three EZ colour ribbons. Choose by what you need to print on each card, not by image count alone — the higher-yield 045033 only prints colour across part of the card.

Frequently Asked Questions
On a FARGO DTC1250e or DTC1000, open the printer’s ribbon cartridge bay — the installed EZ cartridge carries its part number on the label at the end of the core. The same number is printed on the retail box. If the cartridge in the printer reads 045000, this 045030 is its current replacement and fits the same machine. Send us a photo on WhatsApp and we will confirm before you order. HID writes this part number with a leading zero, 045030, but you will also see it written 45030 on invoices and supplier quotes — same ribbon either way.
The FARGO DTC1250e and the FARGO DTC1000 ID card printer / encoder, single-sided or dual-sided. HID lists 045030 in its DTC1250e consumables specification sheet. It is not listed for the FARGO DTC1500, DTC4250e or DTC4500e — those printers use different ribbon part numbers, so check the model badge on your printer before ordering.
Y, M and C are the yellow, magenta and cyan dye-sublimation panels that build the full-colour image. K is a resin black panel used for sharp text, serial numbers and barcodes. O is a clear overlay panel laid over the finished card to prevent colour fade. HID rates the 045030 at 300 images per cartridge — one image is one printed card side, so a dual-sided card uses two.
They are the same EZ YMCKO ribbon for the same printer — same five panels, same fitment. The difference is capacity and currency: 045030 prints 300 images where 045000 printed 250, and 045030 is the part number HID lists today.

The extra 50 images come from the cartridge, not from any change to the print quality: HID states that select DTC1250e colour ribbons use a smaller core, allowing greater ribbon capacity and more images per roll. If you have been reordering 45000, order 45030 instead — you get 20% more cards per cartridge and nothing else changes.
Blank cards and a cleaning routine. HID recommends cleaning the printer at every ribbon change and publishes matching part numbers for the DTC1250e: cleaning kit 086177, cleaning rollers 044260, extra cleaning cards 086131, alcohol cleaning cards 082133, and UltraCard blanks 081754 (PVC) or 082136 (premium composite).
