Epson cheque scanner for banks and retail
Epson TM-S9000II-MJ Cheque Scanner with MICR and Receipt Printing
The Epson TM-S9000II-MJ is a cheque scanner for banks, financial institutions and retail counters. It reads MICR lines in E13B and CMC7, scans both sides of each cheque in one pass at 130 documents per minute, prints an endorsement on the cheque with its built-in inkjet head and, per Epson's specification, adds a thermal receipt printer. It is offered with two output pockets (A41CG59012) or one (A41CG59032).
Quick Glance
Key Features
MICR, OCR and two-sided imaging in one pass
A permanent magnetic bias MICR reader handles E13B and CMC7, and OCR covers E13B, OCR A, OCR B and CMC7. The contact image sensor scans both sides at up to 300 x 300 dpi in black and white, 256-level greyscale, colour or infrared, with auto skew detection and correction and size adjustment.
Endorsement and receipt printing built in
A line inkjet head prints black endorsements of up to 16 lines on the cheque as it passes through, over a 90 mm print width (up to 215 mm depending on the paper length). Epson's specification also lists a thermal line receipt printer at 300 mm/sec on 80 mm roll paper, so one unit scans, endorses and prints the receipt.
Less down time, same drivers
An LCD panel shows status, ink levels, errors and when to clean. Epson has updated the mechanical and electronic parts, rates the scanner unit at an MCBF of 4940000, and keeps drivers and API compatible with previous versions, so existing banking software can carry on working.
Detailed Specifications
Specifications are Epson's own, from Epson's TM-S9000II-MJ product pages for A41CG59012 and A41CG59032 on epson.ae. Where Epson's table gives a size or temperature without a unit, the unit follows the matching rows in the same table. Epson states no weight or interface for this model.
