Original Epson Ink Cartridge
Epson T54X UltraChrome HDX/HD 350 ml Ink Cartridges (SureColor SC-P6000 / P7000 / P8000 / P9000)
The SureColor SC-P series is Epson’s professional photo and proofing line. UltraChrome HD and HDX are pigment ink sets built for colour accuracy that holds: Epson rates prints on its Premium Glossy Photo Paper for a minimum of 60 years, and the ink reproduces the great majority of Pantone-certified colours — which is what makes these machines usable as contract proofers rather than just large printers.
This is the 350 ml cartridge. It suits studios that switch media and colours often, where a smaller cartridge turns over before it ages. The same inks are also sold in 700 ml (T55K) — see the table below.
Quick Glance
Key Features
Up to 11 channels
Three blacks plus Light Light Black give long, smooth tonal ramps in monochrome, while HDX machines add Orange, Green and Violet to widen the gamut into the colours that ordinary CMYK struggles to hit.
Pigment, built to last
These are pigment inks, not dyes. Epson rates prints on Premium Glossy Photo Paper at a minimum of 60 years, so work can be sold, hung or archived without a fade caveat attached.
Proofing-grade accuracy
The ink set reproduces the great majority of Pantone-certified colours, which is what lets an SC-P stand in as a contract proofer instead of only a display printer.

Not every colour fits every machine. The SC-P6000 and SC-P8000 are UltraChrome HD models and take the nine core colours only. The SC-P7000 and SC-P9000 are UltraChrome HDX and additionally take Orange, Green and Violet — which of those your machine actually runs depends on its configuration, so send us your model and we will confirm before you order.
Epson does not publish a page-yield figure for UltraChrome HDX/HD cartridges — coverage on large-format photo and proofing work varies far too widely for a page count to mean anything. Plan by millilitres of ink, not pages.
These printers also use a maintenance box (C13T699700) to collect waste ink, shared with several other SureColor models. We can supply it — ask us to add one to your ink order.

Need-to-Know
The same twelve inks are sold in two cartridge sizes. The colour code is identical across sizes; only the series prefix changes, so order against the right one.

Note the N suffix on Vivid Magenta, Vivid Light Magenta and Matte Black. Epson has re-coded exactly those three colours — the current codes are …30N, …60N and …80N, superseding the older …300, …600 and …800. The ink is the same; only the order code changed, and the other nine colours are unaffected. Orange, Green and Violet are HDX-only and do not fit the SC-P6000 or SC-P8000.
Frequently Asked Questions
Epson re-coded three of the twelve colours: Vivid Magenta, Vivid Light Magenta and Matte Black now end in 30N, 60N and 80N respectively, replacing the older 300, 600 and 800 codes. It is the same ink in the same cartridge — only the order code changed. The other nine colours were never re-coded. If you have an older code on a purchase order, we can match it to the current one for you.
No — and this is the one thing worth checking before you order. The SC-P6000 and SC-P8000 use the UltraChrome HD ink set and take the nine core colours only. The SC-P7000 and SC-P9000 use UltraChrome HDX and additionally take Orange, Green and Violet. Send us your exact model and we will confirm the right set.
It is the same ink either way. The 700 ml costs less per millilitre and means fewer changeovers on long runs; the 350 ml suits studios that switch colours and media often, so cartridges turn over before they age. This page is the 350 ml; we also stock the 700 ml (T55K).
Epson rates prints made with these pigment inks on its Premium Glossy Photo Paper at a minimum of 60 years. Real-world permanence depends on the paper and how the print is displayed or stored, but this is an archival pigment set, not a dye ink.
Yes — this is 100% original Epson ink, sourced through official Epson channels. On a proofing or fine-art machine this matters more than usual: third-party ink will not hold Epson’s colour profiles, which is the whole point of an SC-P.
