Original Epson Ink Bottle
Epson T49H 140 ml Ink Bottles (SureColor SC-T3100x)
The SC-T3100x is the odd one out in Epson’s 24-inch technical plotter range. Where the SC-T2100, SC-T3100 and SC-T5100 take sealed cartridges, the “x” model refills from 140 ml bottles — and you can top it up while it is printing, which takes the usual mid-plot ink stop out of the equation entirely.
Four bottles: a pigment black for crisp line work and dye colours for fills and presentation output. Choose your colour above.

Key Features
Refill without stopping
Epson’s stated benefit for this machine is that ink can be replenished while printing, which significantly reduces downtime. On a long drawing set, that is the difference between a clean run and a restart.
Pigment black, dye colours
The black is pigment, which is what keeps fine lines and small annotation text sharp and smudge-resistant on CAD and GIS output. The colours are dye, for smooth fills on renders and presentation plots.
140 ml per bottle
A substantial volume for a 24-inch desktop plotter, and there is no cartridge shell or chip to pay for and throw away — which is the reason this variant of the SC-T3100 exists at all.
Detailed Specifications
- Epson SureColor SC-T3100x
This is the only model Epson lists for T49H, and the x matters. The SC-T2100, SC-T3100 and SC-T5100 are cartridge machines and take the T40C or T40D ranges instead — they will not take these bottles. Check the badge on your printer rather than going by the 3100 number alone; we stock both and can confirm from your serial or model plate.
Epson does not publish a page yield for these bottles. On a plotter that is the honest position rather than an evasive one — coverage on an A1 drawing set and on a photographic render differ by an order of magnitude, so plan by millilitres and by your own observed run rate.
The SC-T3100x uses a maintenance box (C13S210057) for waste ink and an auto cutter blade (C13S210055) that dulls with use — a ragged or torn edge on a finished plot usually means the blade, not the paper. We stock both; ask us to add them to your ink order.

Need-to-Know
All four bottles are 140 ml. Note that Black and Cyan carry an N on the end of the code while Magenta and Yellow do not — that is how Epson lists them, not a typo.
| Colour | Order Code | Volume | Ink Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| Black | C13T49H10N | 140 ml | Pigment |
| Cyan | C13T49H20N | 140 ml | Dye |
| Magenta | C13T49H300 | 140 ml | Dye |
| Yellow | C13T49H400 | 140 ml | Dye |
If you are working from an older purchase order you may see C13T49H100 and C13T49H200 for Black and Cyan. Epson has since re-coded those two to 10N and 20N; it is the same ink in the same bottle. Magenta and Yellow were never changed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Only if it is an SC-T3100x. The plain SC-T3100, along with the SC-T2100 and SC-T5100, are cartridge machines and take the T40C or T40D ranges — not these bottles. The model badge is the thing to check; if you are unsure, send us a photo of the plate and we will confirm.
Epson re-coded those two and left the others alone. The current codes are C13T49H10N (Black) and C13T49H20N (Cyan), replacing C13T49H100 and C13T49H200; Magenta is still C13T49H300 and Yellow C13T49H400. Same ink, same bottle — only the order code moved.
Yes — that is the design intent Epson states for this machine, and it is the main practical reason to choose the bottle-fed “x” variant. Rather than a job halting at 80% because a cartridge emptied, you top the tank up and the plot carries on.
Epson publishes no figure, and on a plotter any single number would be misleading — a line drawing and a full-bleed render draw wildly different amounts of ink from the same 140 ml. Track your own consumption over a month of typical work and you will have a far more useful number than any published average.
Yes — 100% original Epson ink, sourced through official Epson channels. On a refillable machine this is worth being careful about: the ink goes straight into the printer’s own tank, so a poor-quality refill is considerably harder to undo than swapping out a bad cartridge.
