Epson T40D UltraChrome XD2 Ink Cartridges (High capacity)
UltraChrome XD2 pigment ink means prints are smudge and water resistant, where standard dye inks may run. It delivers deep blacks and crisp, dense lines — exactly what CAD, architectural and engineering drawings need when they get handled, rolled and taken on site.
This is the high-capacity set — 80 ml Black and 50 ml colours. Same ink and same printers as the standard T40C set, but fewer changeovers and a lower cost per millilitre.

Both the standard T40C and high-capacity T40D sets fit every printer listed above. Take care not to confuse the SC-T3100 with the SC-T3100x: that model is ink-tank fed and takes T49H 140 ml refill bottles, not these cartridges. Send us your exact model number if you are unsure.
Epson does not publish a page or area yield for UltraChrome XD2 cartridges, so none is quoted here. Cartridge volume is the comparable figure. Note that Black is supplied in a larger cartridge than the colours in both sets.
These SureColor models also consume a maintenance box, and the auto cutter blade is a wear part. We can supply both — ask us to add them to your ink order.

The same UltraChrome XD2 ink is sold in two cartridge sets, and both fit the same printers. The high-capacity set holds more ink per cartridge, so you change them less often and pay less per millilitre. The part number changes with the set, so order against the right code.

Note the part numbers for Magenta: Epson lists these as T40C340 and T40D340 in the product names, but the actual order codes are C13T40C34N and C13T40D34N. The other three colours follow the expected pattern.

The T40D cartridges fit the Epson SureColor SC-T2100, SC-T3100, SC-T3100N, SC-T3100M-MFP, SC-T5100, SC-T5100M and SC-T5100N. Both the standard and high-capacity sets fit all of them. The SC-T3100x is a different, ink-tank machine and takes T49H refill bottles instead.

Epson names the Magenta cartridge T40C340 / T40D340 in its product listings, but the actual order code carries an N: C13T40C34N and C13T40D34N. It is the same cartridge — just be sure to quote the N code when ordering, or you may be sent nothing at all.
