Original Epson Ink Supply Unit
Epson T01D XXL Ink Supply Units (WorkForce Pro WF-C529R / WF-C579R)
The WF-C529R and WF-C579R are Epson’s Replaceable Ink Pack System machines: instead of small cartridges they take large ink supply units, so a single change lasts tens of thousands of pages. Combined with Heat-Free Technology — no fuser, no warm-up — they are built for offices that want a colour laser replaced with something cheaper to run.
This is the XXL tier — 50,000 pages black and 20,000 pages per colour. It is the lowest cost per page and the fewest interruptions in the range.
Also sold as T01D1 (Black), T01D2 (Cyan), T01D3 (Magenta) and T01D4 (Yellow) — the short codes for the same units.
Quick Glance
Key Features
Heat-Free, low power
No fuser means no warm-up and markedly lower energy use than a comparable colour laser, with fewer moving parts and less to go wrong over the life of the machine.
Very long change intervals
RIPS ink supply units hold far more than a conventional cartridge — up to 50,000 pages of black in the XXL tier — so the machine keeps running and someone is not opening it every week.
Durable pigment ink
Epson specifies a durable pigment ink with high colour development for these machines, so business documents come out smudge-proof, water resistant and sharp on plain paper.

Both the XL and XXL tiers fit every model listed above, including the WF-C579RD2TWF (MEA) variant sold into this region. These units do not fit the non-R WorkForce Pro models — the WF-C5290DW and WF-C5790DWF take T944/T945/T946 ink packs instead. Send us your exact model number if you are unsure.
Page yields are Epson’s own approximate figures. Actual yield varies with what you print and how the machine is used — Epson publishes the detail at epson.eu/pageyield. Note that black and colour yields differ markedly in this range.
These machines also consume a maintenance box (C13T671600), which collects waste ink and is shared across the WF-C5xxx, WF-M52xx and WF-M57xx ranges. We can supply it — ask us to add one to your ink order.
Every colour in this range is sold under two codes — the short code and Epson’s full order code. They refer to the same ink supply unit, so order against whichever one you have. Also searched as: Epson T01D1 black, T01D2 cyan, T01D3 magenta, T01D4 yellow, Epson 01D ink, T01D series, T01D XXL, C13T01D series, WF-C529R ink, WF-C579R ink.

Need-to-Know
The same ink is sold in two yield tiers. XXL holds five times the black of XL and four times the colour, so it costs less per page and is changed far less often; the part number changes with the tier, so order against the right code.
| Colour | XL (T01C) | XXL (T01D) — this page |
|---|---|---|
| Black | C13T01C100 (T01C1 · 10,000 pages) | C13T01D100 (T01D1 · 50,000 pages) |
| Cyan | C13T01C200 (T01C2 · 5,000 pages) | C13T01D200 (T01D2 · 20,000 pages) |
| Magenta | C13T01C300 (T01C3 · 5,000 pages) | C13T01D300 (T01D3 · 20,000 pages) |
| Yellow | C13T01C400 (T01C4 · 5,000 pages) | C13T01D400 (T01D4 · 20,000 pages) |
Unlike the cartridge-based WorkForce Pro ranges, both tiers here carry all four colours — there is no black-only tier. Black yield is roughly twice the colour yield in each tier, so expect to change black more often than the colours.
Frequently Asked Questions
Check the label on the unit currently in the printer, or the consumables list in your WorkForce Pro manual, and match it against the T01D XXL part numbers — C13T01D100 / T01D1 (Black), C13T01D200 / T01D2 (Cyan), C13T01D300 / T01D3 (Magenta), C13T01D400 / T01D4 (Yellow). If you would rather have us confirm it, send us your WF model number and our UAE team will check for you.
Yes — they are the same ink supply unit listed under two different codes. T01D1 is the short code and C13T01D100 is Epson’s full order code. The same applies to every colour in the T01D XXL range: T01D1 = C13T01D100 (Black), T01D2 = C13T01D200 (Cyan), T01D3 = C13T01D300 (Magenta) and T01D4 = C13T01D400 (Yellow). Whichever code is printed on your used unit or written on your purchase order, you are ordering the correct item from this page — just select the matching colour above.
The T01C and T01D units fit the Epson WorkForce Pro WF-C529RDW, WF-C529RDTW, WF-C579RDWF, WF-C579RDTWF, WF-C579RD2TWF and the WF-C579RD2TWF (MEA) variant. They do not fit the non-R models such as the WF-C5290DW or WF-C5790DWF.
It is the same ink — only the amount in the unit changes. XL (T01C) gives 10,000 pages black and 5,000 per colour; XXL (T01D) gives 50,000 pages black and 20,000 per colour. XXL costs less per page and is changed far less often, so it suits higher monthly volumes. You can switch between them freely on the same printer.
Replaceable Ink Pack System — the machine takes large ink supply units rather than small cartridges. In practice it means far fewer consumable changes, less packaging waste per page, and a running cost that is easier to forecast. It is the usual reason these machines get bought as colour-laser replacements.
Yes — this is 100% original Epson ink, sourced through official Epson channels. Epson inks are developed to work with Epson printers to deliver crisp, smudge-proof output, and these are not compatible or refilled alternatives. This page is the XXL tier; we also stock the XL (T01C).
