Key Features
8,000 lumens of 4K in a compact body
Epson describes the EB-PQ2008 as ultra-compact and lightweight, with 8,000 lumens of colour light output (ISO 21118:2012) from 3LCD technology and a laser light source. 4K Crystal Motion technology gives a 4K (3840 x 2160) picture, with HLG HDR, 10-bit colour processing, up to 1.07 billion colours and a 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio.
Interchangeable lenses for any venue
Epson's cross-platform lens compatibility lets the EB-PQ2008 be fitted with the lens the venue needs, across a throw ratio range of 0.34 to 7.16 depending on the lens. Focus is motorised, lens position memory stores settings, and it can be ceiling, wall, floor, table or flying-frame mounted. The standard lens is not included.
Laser reliability and venue control
The laser light source is rated at 20,000 hours in High mode and 30,000 hours in Eco mode, with up to 20,000 hours maintenance free. Edge blending, point correction, scheduling and web control suit multi-projector shows, and Epson lists Crestron, AMX and Extron control with HTTPS, SNMP and PJLink.
Detailed Specifications
Specifications are Epson's own, from Epson's UAE product pages for the EB-PQ2008 (EB-PQ2008W, EB-PQ2008B). Colour light output is measured in accordance with ISO 21118:2012. Lens-dependent figures are not given because the lens is sold separately.
Need-to-Know
The EB-PQ2008 comes in two chassis colours. Epson lists the same specification for both; choose White or Black to suit the venue.
- The EB-PQ2008 is sold without a lens. Throw distance, screen size and lens shift depend on the Epson lens chosen; ask us which lens suits the venue.
- 4K (3840 x 2160) is, in Epson's words, the maximum physical resolution achieved using 4K Crystal Motion technology.
- Epson's specification does not list the video inputs (such as HDMI or HDBaseT ports) or a weight for this model. Ask us before ordering if either matters for your installation.
- Power consumption is not shown because Epson's published figures for this model contradict one another; ask us for the figure from Epson before sizing power.
- The air filter, camera module, Wireless LAN unit and ceiling mount are optional accessories and are not part of the projector.
