    The Epson EB-685W is an ultra-short-throw 3LCD projector for meeting rooms and classrooms. Wall mounted close to the screen with the bracket supplied, it projects an HD-ready WXGA picture of 60 to 100 inches with 3,500 lumens of colour light output, a 16 W built-in speaker and a lamp rated at up to 10,000 hours in Eco mode. Wireless presenting is available with Epson's optional Wireless LAN unit.

    A 100-inch picture from close to the wall

    An ultra-short-throw lens (throw ratio 0.28 to 0.37) projects 60 to 100 inches from close to the wall. Epson lists a projection distance of 0.4 m for a 60-inch screen and 0.6 m for 100 inches, and a wall hanging bracket, safety wire set and template sheet are in the box.

    Bright WXGA picture and long lamp life

    Three 0.59-inch D9 LCD panels give an HD-ready WXGA picture with 3,500 lumens of colour light output (ISO 21118:2012), a 14,000:1 contrast ratio and 10-bit colour processing. The lamp is rated at 5,000 hours, 10,000 hours in Eco and 9,000 hours in Eco 2.

    Built for meeting rooms and classrooms

    A 16 W built-in speaker, split screen, document camera compatibility and CEC are built in, with control through AMX, Crestron or Control4. The optional Wireless LAN unit adds wireless presenting with the iProjection app on Android and iOS devices and Google Chromebooks.
