    Dymo Genuine D1 Tape

    Dymo D1 Label Tape 12mm x 7m

Genuine Dymo D1 label tape — 12mm x 7m, available in 11 colours. A 137 ± 10% micron polyester film with an acrylic adhesive, tested by Dymo through 30 days at 90°C, 30 days at 85% humidity and 30 days of simulated sunlight with no visible change. Fits Dymo LabelManager, LabelPoint, LabelWriter DUO and Rhino machines that take 12mm cassettes.

The Cassette Almost Every Dymo Takes

D1 is Dymo’s standard cassette, and it spans the whole range rather than one machine family — LabelManager, LabelPoint, the LabelWriter DUO and even the Rhino industrial machines all accept it. At 12mm that is 39 models.

    Polyester, Not Paper

The base is a 137 ± 10% micron polyester film with an acrylic adhesive. Dymo’s own testing puts it through water, 85% humidity and 30 days of simulated sunlight with no visible effect on the text or the background.

    Holds Up to Real Heat

Thirty days at 90°C left the text and the background unchanged. At 120°C the background discolours very slightly and the text still comes through, so it survives places a paper label would not.

D1 is the same tape in five widths, and the only thing that changes between them is which machines will take the cassette. Wider tape needs a more capable machine — this is the ladder.

Tape Colours we carry Dymo models that take it Length
    6mm D1 3 colours 32 Dymo models 7m
    9mm D1 8 colours 39 Dymo models 7m
    12mm D1 (this page) 11 colours 39 Dymo models 7m
    19mm D1 7 colours 20 Dymo models 7m
    24mm D1 6 colours 13 Dymo models 7m

Widths above are the ones we carry. Apart from width the tape is identical, so pick by the machine you own.

It fits any Dymo label maker that takes D1 cassettes 12mm wide — 39 models, listed in full under Compatible Printers above, including the LabelManager 100, LabelManager 100+, LabelManager 110 and LabelManager 110+. Every machine that takes D1 accepts this width. Not sure? Send us the model number and we will confirm before you order.

Yes — an original Dymo cassette, not a compatible. The figures on this page are Dymo’s own test results for Dymo’s own polyester film and acrylic adhesive; a compatible cassette is a different product that has not been through those tests. Compatibles are also the usual cause of a machine reporting no cassette or cutting in the wrong place.

It depends on how long your labels are and what margin the machine is set to, so any single figure would be misleading. What is fixed is the cassette length: 7 metres. As a rough guide, a 40mm label uses about 50mm of tape once the machine’s leading and trailing margins are added, so a 7m cassette gives you roughly 140 of them. A narrower margin setting gets you noticeably more.

Well, with one honest limit. Dymo’s testing gives no visible change after 30 days at 90°C, 30 days at 45°C and 85% humidity, 30 days of simulated sunlight, or immersion in water — and no effect from fuel, isopropyl alcohol or most household cleaners. The limit is that D1 is not a laminated tape: the print sits on the surface of the film, so acetone, ethyl acetate, toluene and ether will take it off completely. If the label has to live in solvent, this is the wrong tape and we will tell you so.

Yes — Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and UAE-wide, with a VAT invoice on every order. If you are ordering tape for a site or a fleet of machines, message us with the models and we will confirm the full list of what fits before anything ships.

Not Sure Which Tape Your Machine Takes?

Send us your Dymo model and our UAE team will confirm the right cassette, the widths it accepts and what we have in stock.
