Paper loads face-up and returns out the front, so the DR-C225 II needs no clearance behind it. With the tray closed it is 300 mm wide and 156 mm deep — small enough for a reception counter or a crowded desk.
Single-pass duplex at 25 ppm / 50 ipm
Both sides of a page are captured in one pass at the same rated speed in colour and in mono. Ultrasonic double-feed detection stops a batch when two sheets go through together, so a missed page is caught at the scanner rather than found in the archive later.
Straight path for cards and heavier stock
Switch to the straight-through path for plastic and embossed cards, stock up to 209 g/m² and long documents up to 3000 mm. The J-path handles everyday office paper from 52 to 128 g/m².

The DR-C225 II is the most compact scanner in Canon's desktop workgroup line; the models around it trade desk space for speed and feeder capacity.
- USB only — there is no network or Wi-Fi connection on this model. It scans to the computer it is plugged into.
- Canon's Windows driver list for this model names Windows 2000 through Windows 10. If you run Windows 11, ask us to confirm current driver support before you order.
- Cards, thick stock over 128 g/m² and long documents must go through the straight-through path; the J-path is for ordinary office paper only.
- The flatbed units (A4 102, A3 202) are optional accessories sold separately — the scanner itself is sheet-fed only, so bound books need a flatbed unit.
