A counter-side cheque and card scanner with a footprint only a little larger than an A5 sheet, reading up to 150 cheques a minute — 12,000 a day. Every cheque is read by both MICR and OCR, cross-checked by Canon's own algorithm for accuracy, and endorsed on the back by a built-in imprinter as it scans. A dedicated slot scans plastic ID and bank cards in colour, and a built-in 2-port USB hub adds flexibility for other counter peripherals.

The CR-150 reads up to 150 cheques per minute — 12,000 a day — from a device whose footprint is only a little larger than an A5 sheet, making it the fastest model in this range that still fits a tight teller counter.
Colour ID and bank card scanning
A dedicated card slot scans plastic ID or bank cards in colour, so a teller can confirm and record a customer's identity in the same session as the cheque, without a separate card reader.
Built-in imprinter with a 2-port USB hub
Every cheque is verified by MICR and OCR cross-checking and endorsed on the back by the built-in imprinter — up to five lines of 60 characters and bitmaps, with no loss of speed. A built-in 2-port USB hub adds flexibility for other counter peripherals without an extra cable run.

Need-to-Know
The CR-150 is Canon's fastest-rated cheque scanner in this range; the CR-150N is the same scanner with a network port added.
- USB only — there is no network or LAN connection on this model. It scans to the computer it is plugged into. The networked version of this scanner is the CR-150N.
- The ink cartridge for the built-in imprinter is not included with the scanner — Canon's own footnote states it is sold separately.
- Windows only. Canon publishes no macOS driver for the CR-150, and its Windows driver list names Vista, 7, 8.1 and 10 (plus Server 2008 R2/2012 R2). If you run Windows 11, ask us to confirm current driver support before you order.
- The magnetic swipe reader is an optional accessory that installs into the scanner body; it is not fitted as standard.
- This is the USB-only model. If you need multiple users on the network to share one scanner, see the CR-150N, which adds an Ethernet port.
