Open the toner door on your printer and read the label on the cartridge already fitted — the model number is printed on it. You can also check the supplies or status menu on the printer's control panel, or look up your printer model in the Compatible Printers tab above. If you are still unsure, send us your printer's model number and we will confirm the right cartridge for you before you order.

The Canon 055 range is designed for the Canon i-SENSYS LBP663Cdw, LBP664Cx, MF742Cdw, MF744Cdw and MF746Cx. If your printer is not listed in the Compatible Printers tab above, this is not the correct cartridge — contact us and we will identify the right one.

Page yield is measured to ISO/IEC 19798, the industry test standard, using a standard test document at approximately 5% page coverage. It is an average figure for comparing cartridges on a like-for-like basis, not a guarantee — documents with heavier text, large blocks of colour, photographs or graphics will use more toner and give fewer pages. Choose the Canon 055H if you print in volume — it lifts the black yield from 2,300 to 7,600 pages and each colour from 2,100 to 5,900 pages, roughly three times the toner per cartridge, for far fewer changes and a materially lower cost per page. For light or occasional printing the standard 055 is usually the better value up front.

Yes. Both the standard Canon 055 and the high-capacity Canon 055H fit the same i-SENSYS LBP663Cdw, LBP664Cx, MF742Cdw, MF744Cdw and MF746Cx printers. The difference is how much toner is inside, not the physical fit — you can switch between them at any time.
