Brother Genuine Security Tape
Brother TZe-SE4 — 18mm Black on White
Genuine Brother TZe-SE4 laminated label tape — 18mm x 8m, black on white. Six layers with the printed text sealed between two protective films, tested by Brother from -80°C to +150°C and through two hours of chemical submersion. Fits any P-touch that takes TZe cassettes 18mm or wider.
Key Features
It Shows When It Has Been Moved
Lift a security label and it leaves a checkerboard pattern behind. You cannot peel it off and re-apply it without the tamper being obvious — which is the whole point on asset tags, meters and sealed equipment.
Give It 24 Hours
Brother's own guidance is to leave the label in place for at least 24 hours for the tamper-evident bond to work properly. Apply it, then leave it alone.
Laminated Underneath
The security base still carries the standard six-layer laminate, so the printed text survives the same -80°C to +150°C range and chemical exposure as any other TZe.

Need-to-Know
At 18mm the choice is what the tape is made of, not what size it is. These all fit the same machines, so this is about what the label has to survive.
| Tape | Part number | Fits machines taking | Length |
|---|---|---|---|
| 18mm security Black on White (this page) | TZe-SE4 | 18mm machines and wider | 8m |
| 18mm flexible ID Black on White | TZe-FX241 | 18mm machines and wider | 8m |
| 18mm flexible ID Black on Yellow | TZe-FX641 | 18mm machines and wider | 8m |
| 18mm Black on Clear | TZe-141 | 18mm machines and wider | 8m |
| 18mm Black on White | TZe-241 | 18mm machines and wider | 8m |
| 18mm Red on White | TZe-242 | 18mm machines and wider | 8m |

| 18mm Gold on Black | TZe-344 | 18mm machines and wider | 8m |
Standard laminated is the default. Strong adhesive is for surfaces that reject tape, flexible ID wraps cables without lifting, and the specialist finishes each solve one specific problem.

Frequently Asked Questions
It fits any Brother P-touch label maker that accepts TZe cassettes 18mm wide or wider — that includes the PT-D410, PT-D600, PT-D610BT, PT-P750W, PT-E550W, PT-P900W. It will not fit the PT-H110 or PT-D210: those machines top out below 18mm and the cassette physically will not load. If your machine currently has a TZe cassette in it and takes this width, this one will go straight in. Not sure? Send us the model number and we will confirm before you order.
Yes — an original Brother cassette, not a compatible. It matters more here than on most consumables: the durability figures on this page are Brother's own test results for Brother's own six-layer laminate, and a compatible cassette is a different product that has not been through those tests.
It depends entirely on how long your labels are and what margin the machine is set to, so any single figure would be misleading. What is fixed is the cassette length: 8 metres. As a rough guide, a 40mm label consumes about 50mm of tape once the machine's leading and trailing margins are added, so an 8m cassette gives you roughly 160 of them. Set a narrower margin in the machine's settings and you get noticeably more.
Yes. Brother's own testing puts laminated TZe from -80°C to +150°C, with no print discolouration after two hours submerged in water, ethanol, acetone or hydrochloric acid, and legible text after 478 hours of simulated sunlight — roughly a year outdoors. Background colour holds up well on this tape — black, white, blue and green were among the best performers in that test.
Yes — Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and UAE-wide, with a VAT invoice on every order. If you are ordering tape for a site or a fleet of machines, message us with the models and we will confirm the full list of what fits before anything ships.
