Brother Genuine Flexible ID Tape
Brother TZe-FX661 — 36mm Black on Yellow
Genuine Brother TZe-FX661 laminated label tape — 36mm x 8m, black on yellow. Six layers with the printed text sealed between two protective films, tested by Brother from -80°C to +150°C and through two hours of chemical submersion. Fits any P-touch that takes TZe cassettes 36mm or wider.
Key Features
Wraps Without Lifting
Flexible ID tape is built to bend around a cable or a thin pipe and stay down, either wrapped fully or folded out as a flag. Standard tape springs off a tight curve; this does not.
Survives the Autoclave
Brother ran flexible ID tape through 30 sterilising cycles at 134°C to prEN13060 and the printed text stayed legible. It is the tape Brother names for autoclave use.
Laminated Durability
Six-layer laminated construction, -80°C to +150°C, and no print discolouration after two hours submerged in water, acetone, ethanol or hydrochloric acid.

Need-to-Know
Black on yellow is the same tape in several widths, and the only thing that changes between them is whether your machine can take it. Wider tape needs a bigger machine — this is the ladder.
| Tape | Part number | Fits machines taking | Length |
|---|---|---|---|
| 6mm flexible ID Black on Yellow | TZe-FX611 | Every TZe machine | 8m |
| 9mm flexible ID Black on Yellow | TZe-FX621 | Every TZe machine | 8m |
| 12mm flexible ID Black on Yellow | TZe-FX631 | Every TZe machine | 8m |
| 18mm flexible ID Black on Yellow | TZe-FX641 | 18mm machines and wider | 8m |
| 24mm flexible ID Black on Yellow | TZe-FX651 | 24mm machines and wider | 8m |
| 36mm flexible ID Black on Yellow (this page) | TZe-FX661 | 36mm machines only | 8m |
Widths above are the ones we carry in this colour and finish. Apart from width they are identical, so pick by the machine you own.

Frequently Asked Questions
It fits any Brother P-touch label maker that accepts TZe cassettes 36mm wide or wider — that includes the PT-P900W. It will not fit the PT-H110, PT-D210, PT-D410, PT-D600, PT-D610BT, PT-P750W or PT-E550W: those machines top out below 36mm and the cassette physically will not load. If your machine currently has a TZe cassette in it and takes this width, this one will go straight in. Not sure? Send us the model number and we will confirm before you order.
Because standard TZe is stiff and springs off a tight curve, usually within days. Flexible ID tape is built to bend around a cable and stay down, either wrapped fully or folded out into a flag so the text stays readable. It is also the tape Brother names for autoclave use — 30 sterilising cycles at 134°C left the text legible.
It depends entirely on how long your labels are and what margin the machine is set to, so any single figure would be misleading. What is fixed is the cassette length: 8 metres. As a rough guide, a 40mm label consumes about 50mm of tape once the machine's leading and trailing margins are added, so an 8m cassette gives you roughly 160 of them. Set a narrower margin in the machine's settings and you get noticeably more.
Yes. Brother's own testing puts laminated TZe from -80°C to +150°C, with no print discolouration after two hours submerged in water, ethanol, acetone or hydrochloric acid, and legible text after 478 hours of simulated sunlight — roughly a year outdoors. One caveat specific to this colour: the yellow background itself fades over that year even though the text does not, so if the label needs to look new after a summer in the sun, black on white or white on black holds up better.
Yes — Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and UAE-wide, with a VAT invoice on every order. If you are ordering tape for a site or a fleet of machines, message us with the models and we will confirm the full list of what fits before anything ships.
