There is no keyboard and no display on the printer itself — everything is designed in the free Design&Print2 app for iOS and Android and sent over Bluetooth Classic. The app supplies print-ready templates and frames, so a home or small-office label is a couple of taps rather than a menu tree on a tiny screen.

Takes Brother's own TZe laminated cassettes in 6, 9 and 12 mm widths. Laminated tape is sealed between two layers of film, which is why a P-touch label keeps its print long after a plain sticker has faded or peeled.
20 mm/sec at 180 dpi in a printer that fits a drawer
It is small enough to keep in a desk drawer or a bag, and still prints at 180 dpi so barcodes and small type stay legible. A USB port is also fitted, so the printer connects to a PC as well as a phone when that is more convenient.

- The cutter is manual, not automatic. If you are printing long runs and want the strip to cut itself, the PT-P710BT is the Bluetooth model that adds an auto cutter.
- It ships running on 6 AAA batteries. The AD-24ES AC adapter is a separate, optional accessory and is not in the box.
- Maximum tape width is 12 mm. For wider labels up to 24 mm on the same Bluetooth connection, the PT-P710BT is the next size up.
