Prints heat-shrink tube as well as flat labels

One machine covers both jobs: durable TZe laminated labels up to 36 mm wide, and HSe heat-shrink tube for marking wire ends and terminals. Label printing runs at 60 mm/sec across up to 17 lines; tube printing runs at 40 mm/sec across up to 2 lines, since tube marking is short identifiers rather than long text.

At 360 dpi with 826 built-in characters and 465 symbols, small type stays legible and barcodes scan reliably — Brother's own specification lists 21 barcode protocols through P-touch Editor 5.1. The automatic cutter half-cuts each label so a run comes off in one continuous, easy-peel strip.

  • No Bluetooth on this model. Brother's own connectivity row for the PT-E850TKW lists USB and Wireless LAN protocols only — Bluetooth is on the PT-E560BTVP and PT-E920BT in this range, not here.
  • The heaviest and largest machine in this line at 4.6 kg and 338 x 188 x 173 mm. It is a bench-mounted industrial printer, not one to carry between sites the way a handheld P-touch is.
