Brother PT-E550WVP Wireless Electrical Label Printer
The widest and fastest of Brother's keypad electrical labellers: a backlit LCD and QWERTY keypad drive genuine TZe laminated tape up to 24 mm wide at 30 mm per second, and the machine also takes Brother HSe heat-shrink tube. USB and Wireless LAN let it print from a PC as well as standalone, and an automatic cutter with half and full cut finishes each label without a blade. Menus are not documented separately from the rest of the E-series on Brother's own page.

Connects to a PC over USB or Wireless LAN, so labels can be designed off the machine and sent over, while the QWERTY keypad and backlit LCD still print standalone with nothing connected. It is the only model in this range with wireless network printing rather than Bluetooth.
3.5 mm to 24 mm — the widest tape in this range
Prints genuine Brother TZe laminated tape in 3.5, 6, 9, 12, 18 and 24 mm widths, with up to seven lines of text on the widest tape. At 30 mm per second it is also the fastest of the four electrical and datacomm handhelds in this batch.
Automatic cutter with half and full cut
Cuts each label automatically rather than by hand, with a choice of half-cut or full-cut. Multi-block printing, mirror printing and sequential numbering are all supported, backed by a 591-character, 384-symbol library and up to 99 files of local memory.

Four handheld P-touch machines built for electricians and datacomm installers, widening in tape size, speed and connection as you go up the range. All print genuine Brother TZe tape; what changes is the maximum width, whether heat-shrink tube is supported, and how you connect.
- It takes Brother HSe heat-shrink tube as well as TZe laminated tape, but Brother's own page does not publish HSe widths for this model. Confirm the tube width you need with us before ordering — do not assume it matches another Brother model's HSe range.
- Brother's own Media specifications list a 'Maximum Roll Width' of 3.5mm up to 36mm alongside a separately stated 'Maximum Tape Width' of up to 24mm for this model. The two figures conflict and 36 mm does not match this model's own TZe or HSe width lists anywhere else on its page, so this page states 24 mm as the maximum and does not repeat the 36 mm figure as a buying claim.

The PT-E550WVP is the widest, fastest and only Wi-Fi model of the four, with an automatic cutter the other three do not have. If you need Bluetooth to a phone instead of Wireless LAN to a network, the PT-E310BTVP is the one to compare it against; if you never need a PC connection at all, the PT-E110VP or PT-E300VP cost less.
