If you have a P-touch label maker rather than a QL, you need a TZe cassette instead.

DK-22210 is continuous paper, 29mm x 30.48m — the everyday roll for addresses, shelf edges and internal filing. DK-22211 is the same 29mm width in film, 29mm x 15.24m — tougher and better where a label will be handled, wiped or exposed to damp, at half the length. Both fit exactly the same QL printers.

Film is the tougher of the two, so this roll takes the handling, wiping and damp that would mark the paper DK-22210. What film does not change is that both are direct thermal: the image is developed by heat in the media itself, so any DK label will darken if it is left somewhere hot and will fade in prolonged direct sun. For a label that has to live outdoors or sit on a warm surface, a laminated TZe cassette on a P-touch is the better answer.
