These are APC Maintenance Bypass Panels, used when a UPS needs servicing. APC's wording differs by model: it says the SBP3000RMI isolates the UPS from the critical load, the SBP3000RMHW is a wrap-around system for that, the SBP5000RMI2U and SBP6KRMI2U have a bypass switch for safe maintenance, and the SBP16KRMI4U allows UPS maintenance without load interruption. Six models from 1500VA to 20000VA, all rack-mounted: 2U for five of them and 4U for the SBP16KRMI4U. Some have IEC outlets and some are hardwired, so see the compare table and spec tab.
