HID FARGO UltraCard 081751 HiCo Magnetic Stripe PVC Cards | CR-80 30 mil, Box of 500 atomoffice

HID FARGO Consumables · Genuine UltraCard Blanks

HID FARGO UltraCard 081751 — 30 mil PVC Cards with High-Coercivity Magnetic Stripe, Box of 500

Genuine HID FARGO UltraCard 081751: CR-80, 30 mil, 100% PVC with a high-coercivity (2750 Oe) magnetic stripe, 500 cards per box. The blank to use when the card has to be swiped as well as looked at — access control, time and attendance, membership and loyalty.

    High-Coercivity 2750 Oe Stripe

HID specifies the high-coercivity stripe at 2750 Oe. A HiCo stripe takes more energy to write, which is exactly why it is far harder to erase accidentally against a phone, a bag magnet or another card.

Print and Encode in One Pass

Feed one card, print the badge and write the stripe in the same pass on a FARGO printer with a magnetic stripe encoding module fitted.

    Standard 30 mil Badge Stock

The everyday CR-80 30 mil PVC body — same polished, scratch- and debris-reduced UltraCard surface as the plain 081754, so the printed side looks identical.

    • HID FARGO DTC4500e ID card printer / encoder
    • HID lists 081751 in the consumables specification sheets for all four DTC printers above. The stripe is written by the printer’s magnetic stripe encoding module, which is a field-upgradeable option — the card does not add that capability on its own
    • Choose the coercivity your system expects. 081751 is high-coercivity (2750 Oe); the low-coercivity (300 Oe) equivalent is 081750. A reader configured for one will not reliably read the other

The same 30 mil PVC card body comes three ways. The only difference is the stripe — and the stripe has to match whatever your readers were set up for.

Check the card specification in your printer’s consumables sheet — for the FARGO DTC1250e and DTC4500e, HID states CR-80 or CR-79, 9 mil to 40 mil, PVC or polyester with a polished PVC finish. The 081751 is CR-80, 30 mil, 100% PVC. You also need a magnetic stripe encoding module fitted to write the stripe. Send us a photo of your printer on WhatsApp and we will confirm both before you order. HID writes this part number with a leading zero, 081751, but you will also see it written 81751 on invoices and supplier quotes — same card either way.

Coercivity is how much magnetic force is needed to write the stripe. HID specifies 081751 as high-coercivity at 2750 Oe and 081750 as low-coercivity at 300 Oe. A HiCo stripe is harder to write and therefore much harder to erase by accident — which is why access control systems normally use it. Order whichever your existing readers and encoder are configured for; mixing them causes read failures.

You need a magnetic stripe encoding module in the printer. On the FARGO DTC1250e, DTC1500, DTC4250e and DTC4500e, HID lists magnetic stripe encoding as a field-upgradeable option — so a printer without it can usually have it added. The card itself carries the stripe but cannot write it.

Yes. The printed side is the same polished UltraCard surface as the plain 081754, so a YMCKO colour ribbon prints a normal photo ID on it. If the stripe is on the back and you also want printing there, use a dual-sided printer and consider a half-patch overlaminate such as 082607 or 082608, which HID makes specifically for the magnetic stripe side of a card.

HID states that FARGO card printers and encoders require highly specialised media to function properly, and that HID warranties are void, where not prohibited by law, when non-HID consumables are used. On a machine where the printhead is the expensive part, that is the whole argument: the media runs against the printhead on every card.
