The chassis measures 44 by 478 by 327.5 mm and weighs 4.38 kg. It mounts directly to a 2-post 19-inch rack, or to a 4-post rack with a Synology RKM114 or RKS-02 rail kit, sold separately. Operating temperature is 0 to 35 degrees Celsius.\n\nThe RS422+ runs Synology DSM 7.2, covering file sharing over SMB, AFP and NFS, Active Backup for Business for PCs, Macs and servers, Synology Drive, Snapshot Replication and Surveillance Station, with Btrfs snapshots for point-in-time recovery.
